Blue Buffalo change to the Senior formula.
I wanted to change the formula I was feeding my dogs. I have been using Blue Buffalo Life Protection Adult Healthy Weight and decided to try the Senior of the same formula. They have had no issues with the 50/50 mix, such as gas or not wanting it and will be feeding it at 100% when the original bag is finished. I feel this is a good brand and I will continue to use it.
Dog loves it but allergic
Blue Buffalo has quality ingredients and I hoped it would be a good backup to my dog's homemade diet, but something in the food is making her chew her feet. I checked the ingredients against her known allergies but apparently there's something else she's sensitive to. Disappointed.

Terrible results!
After many years of use. Our older dog suddenly started having seizures when starting one particular bag of this food. He died shortly after. Our bigger, younger dog became lethargic, drank an increase of water and eventually began refusing his food when starting one particular bag of this food. After many vet visits, X-rays, blood work, it looked as if switching his food saved the 2nd dogs life.
They think it's tasty
We have 4 dogs, one is 14. I was researching different dog foods that would be a better choice for them and landed at Blue Buffalo. Our old boy has never eaten so fast in his life so I think that's high marks. He was having problems eating some other dry food because of the size of the kibbles (we've tried a few different brands). Our 2 year old GSD went out of his way to get into this bag and gorged himself on it and tries to get to it every day (I told him he needs to wait another 5 years before he can have this one).
Our dogs love this food!!
This dog food keeps our dogs happy and healthy, and the love it!!! We have older dogs and a little dogs, my youngest is 4 years old!! Even our cats sneak a bite every now and then!!
Best Dog Food for my boy
I have tried multiple dog foods through Chewy and my dog just wouldn't hardly eat but now since buying Blue my dog eats every bites morning and night. He is finicky when he feels like eating but when he does he eats it all. I am sticking with this brand.
The jury is still out
Since Blue Buffalo change the recipe for Sunny's usual kibble, I decided it was a good time to switch her to Senior formula. The first few weeks were fine but as the ratio of Senior formula increased her appetite and enthusiasm for her meals decreased. She seems to be getting used to it now but does not enjoy eating nearly as much as she did on the previous recipe. I am debating whether I should try something else.

I was very happy with this food until my last bag was opened end of March, since then she has had a lot of stomach issues, she now refuses to eat this food, even mixed with turkey.
Transitioning over
Our 11yo pittie was starting to slow way down and we were concerned about her quality of life. We have been transitioning her over to this the last couple of weeks and we have seen a noticeable difference already. She has more energy in the morning and is much more playful. Hope to see more great progress going forward.
