Up to 20 weeks of age, feed as much as your kitten will eat in 3 or 4 feedings per day.
Weeks 21 - 30, feed about 1/2 can per lb of body weight per day.
31 - 52 weeks of age, feed about 1/4 can per lb of body weight per day.
Transition Instructions
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time.
1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days.
2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days.
3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days.
4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

About BLUE
BLUE started with a promise made to a lovable Airedale named Blue, who struggled with health issues. His family wanted to feed him the best food possible, so they searched for something with high-quality ingredients, but decided they could create something even better – a natural pet food with healthy ingredients, real meat first, and some of the highest standards in the industry. That promise still drives Blue Buffalo to seek out the healthiest ways to feed and nurture our four-legged family members. It's a promise that lives on for you and your pets every time you fill their bowls with BLUE.
Is this food actually good for kittens and does it contain a lot of sodium?
How long does this last opened in the fridge in a container?
Answer by • Apr 10, 2019
Your pet’s bowl should be emptied of moist or canned food not eaten by your cat or dog within 4 hours if the ambient temperature is above 50°F. Opened cans should be stored in the fridge, at temperatures between 40-45°F, for a maximum of 5-7 days. Any cat or dog food remaining after that time should be thrown out.
Is it OK to feed this to an 8 week old kitten?
Answer by • Jun 07, 2018
For kittens up to 20 weeks of age, feed as much as your kitten will eat in 3 or 4 feedings per day.
is it pate?
Answer by • Aug 01, 2022
This variety is made with the consistency of a pate.
My previous puss loved Blue Buffalo foods, regardless of texture. My twin brothers do not like the pate texture and barely touch it.

It is not easy to open
My cat has finished half of the canned food, and 3 out of 12 could not be opened.

Didn't appeal to my cats
A bit disappointed as this is fairly expensive food. My two cats didn't like it at all, they preferred to be hungry than eat it. I will be giving the rest to a shelter, maybe they can use it.
It may work for some, but I would nto recommend it based on my own pets reaction.

diarrhea but she liked it
My 7month old Kitten loved this food but it gave her Bloody diarrhea. I purchased 2 cases of it and now have to donate them. The vet said it was too rich for her and to put her on regular cat food.

Yummy Blue Buffalo
Miss Bubbles absolutely loves her Blue Buffalo wet chicken & salmon canned food. She anxiously wait 4 me 2 take the can out of frig; knows what the can is. She is a total nutcase, until I scoop out into her bowl & I have 2 hold her back just 2 put on the floor 4 her 2 eat. She will jump up 2 get bowl from me, having already upended it once on the floor b4 I can even put down 4 her. & Better yet, its healthy 4 her; I've noticed her coat just shines!

Blue Buffalo canned kitten pate
I opened a brand new can and it had a large amount of gross BLACK MOLD on the food. Very disappointed. I’m hoping I can get compensated for the spoiled food.

Great for fosters
I use this for my sickly fosters. It's aroma is strong enough that it entices even the worst URI symptomatic kittens. Good calorie amount per can, and love the high protein/fat content.
