This is one gut supplement that has actually worked for my gelding. I’ve tried a lot of different gut supplements including gutx and cep gutcheck, but this is the only one that has consistently worked. It’s only for foregut so I do have to feed a separate hind gut with it. It is kind of pricey as my gelding needs two cups daily but I’m happy the new formula took out the wheat and soy and has rice bran instead. That really won me over to come back to it. I highly recommend this if you think your horse has foregut issues!

Love it

I’ve kept my barrel horses in this for about 3 months now. I haven’t had one ulcer flare up and their stool has stayed solid!

I've had my Cushing's horse on this for at least 2 years. I started him on it because his behavior indicated the possibility of ulcers- although I didn't have him scoped. In the past, I would have given him omeprazole, but decided to go with this as part of a regular feeding program. His symptoms disappeared. (I am not saying this healed ulcers) And, I board. At the time, they were feeding hay twice per day, with long stretches between feedings. That's another reason I started with this. I will say, my horse does so well on it, I won't ever take him off.

It may be a bit early to write a review on Gastro pHix. I purchased this at the recommendation of a trainer (you've seen him on TV). My horse is 13 and is used to just grass or alfalfa. I thought it might be good for him. However after less than a week on it he exhibited signs of colic. Something he has never shown before. So after a quick visit from the vet and her checking on the supplement's ingredients we are on indefinite hold pending further review.
