I see it is recommended for up to 100 pounds. I'm wondering if it would be appropriate for my 22 pound Beagle, or if it would be too heavy for him and weigh him down.

This tie-out is suitable for medium, large, and giant breed dogs.

Great product!

This is a great product, just wish there was an option for 50ft. Other than that, it’s sturdy and easy to use. Our dog is happy and that’s all that matters!

I bought the forty-foot version. I initially thought that might be too long, but I knew the twenty-foot version would be too short, but the forty-foot version turned out to be perfect. Very tough, appears to be very well made. At first the connector had me confused. You actually pull it open, rather than push it open. I can see the logic of that. I would recommend this tie-out for you and your puppy without reservation.

Sturdy line tangles less often

This is a sturdy, durable line. It tangles less than lighter-weight lines. The heavy-duty clasp can be challenging to use until you get used to it, but using it

Clasp is difficult to connect to collar.

Requires two hand to connect clasp to collar and is quite awkward to manipulate.

Strong

This a strong tie out that I put my 96.5lb dog on and it's holding up very well. He has yanked on it many times and it didn't give an inch. The cable has no rusting

This a strong tie out that I put my 96.5lb dog on and it's holding up very well. He has yanked on it many times and it didn't give an inch. The cable has no rusting on it...a little on the hooks, but they are left outside 24/7 attached to a on the ground connector while the other half of the lead is made for him to go back and forth in the yard then into the enclosed porch to be let off so he can go inside. I would recommend it highly if you have large breed dogs.
