I have 4 Great Danes with bear like claws. Very thick and black. Would these cut through the nail? It’s really hard to find a sharp strong and wide enough opening clips for my dogs nails.
Answer by ChewyAug 26, 2021
These Large clippers are designed for use with medium and large breeds who have thick, strong nails.

I am not as strong as I was at one time and am finding it had to have the strength for most clippers. Would the following clippers need to less hand strength?
Answer by ChewyApr 20, 2019
This clipper's ergonomic grip allows comfortable and proper 45-degree angle for accurate trim without too much strain on your hand.

Where are they made
Answer by ChewyJun 27, 2019
These nail clippers are made in China.

Jammed on first use

Worked great on the first couple nails of my German Shepherd Siberian Husky mix then the clippers jammed. I checked the safety lock and looked for a wedged nail but couldnt find an issue and I couldn't get them to work properly again. Chewy refunded me on this product.

I wanted to like them

They have large jaws and they clipped well but after a few uses (used maybe once every two weeks?) the spring stopped responding and they became impossible to reset to open to clip additional nails. I got a refund for them.

Never again

I have a german shepherd so I purchased these clippers after reading reviews and researching other brands they seemed like the right choice. I clipped or should I say crushed 3 nails total, my dog was terrified and I dont like hurting them. Maybe smaller breeds can benefit from these clippers but not a large breed .

Bad design

I would not recommend these clippers. They are poorly designed - with each trim of a nail, the screw tightens so eventually you can't easily snip. In addition, the safety frequently falls down and gets caught during use.
