This is the second time that I’ve bought this food for my rat, and she loved it the first time and I didn’t notice anything odd. This time there was a few random pieces of some type of plastic. I have no idea what it is from but it was already in the bag upon opening one of the pieces was right at top. Thank goodness I noticed it before my sweet rat could eat it!

Do not buy because the cost is not worth what you receive. I was out of hamster food and thought this was the usual 3.5 lb bag. Well shame on me for shopping after a long exhausting day! Yes, I actually bought some neat little seeds at $4.99 for 3.5 oz (pumpkin, sunflower, squash, cantaloupe, watermelon and sunflower seeds)! I make my own trail mix and I feed my hamsters seeds any time without the ridiculous cost. I’m sure the seeds are fine but they are nothing special. The watermelon seeds are unique so I gave it 2 stars but I can’t give any more than that because $4.99 is ridiculous for 3.5 oz.

One of my girls isn't feeling too well and these really cheered her up. Chewy shipped everything quickly as well which I am very thankful for.

My winter white hamster loves these seeds! There's a good mix of bigger seeds and smaller seeds for small animals to eat ^_^ Plus she's so cute when she's getting the shell off the pumpkin seeds! We always keep a bag of these seed treats around because they're her favorite.
