During exercise, when horses utilize stored carbohydrates as sources of energy (stored as glycogen in the muscle), this produces lactic acid as an end-product. However, with fat used as a source of energy, lactic acid isn’t produced as an end-product. By increasing fat in the diet, you can encourage your horse to utilize more fat during exercise thus reducing lactic acid production.

A quarter of the product was spilled out in the box

When I opened the box I noticed a bunch of the product was out of the package and into the box. I needed this to start my elderly horse on. When I called Chewy they

When I opened the box I noticed a bunch of the product was out of the package and into the box. I needed this to start my elderly horse on. When I called Chewy they said they would replace it but not until I sent the ripped bag back to them with the remaining product. I will never buy this from them again. It’s a powdery granulated product so it was everywhere. I will buy from my local feed store from now on.

Poor packaging

The product works great, it has put weight & kept her weight stable & her coat is very shiny. The packaging of the product is bad in that every bag I’ve purchased

The product works great, it has put weight & kept her weight stable & her coat is very shiny. The packaging of the product is bad in that every bag I’ve purchased has leaked the small grainy stuff out. There are several other people at my barn that have the same issue & have bought different containers to put it in because the bags leak. Today’s shipment is damaged & I can hear the product in the box before I even opened it.

I bought this product and within a week he has made such a huge turnaround and feels better and back to his normal self. This is only 7 days so I'll try to post another photo to follow up.

I like it, pretty much the same as cool calories.

Love this for weight gain, but I do have to soak it and mix to get my horse to eat it. So i’d just keep that in mind if you have a picky eater.

It's really working. (But slow delivery)

This is really working to put weight on this horse quickly. The only complaint I have is not with the product. It took longer to delivered than promised (1-3 days)
