Setup instructions awful

The setup sheet that came with the feeder contained a QR code that you’re supposed to go to to get the full set of instructions. However, the QR code doesn’t link

The setup sheet that came with the feeder contained a QR code that you’re supposed to go to to get the full set of instructions. However, the QR code doesn’t link to any instructions just a bunch of products to purchase. So you’re left with trying to figure out how to set the thing up from the poorly worded setup sheet it came with. I’m pretty good with tech but it took me quite awhile to figure it out. I nearly gave up and was ready to send it back. It’s the connection to your home network that isn’t well described. Finally figured it out and can say it works well. It’s very loud when it ejects the food into the stainless bowl so be prepared to get startled if you have the feeder close by. Otherwise it’s good and I’ll keep it.

Printed instructions are minimal and rely on itsy-bitsy diagrams. It claims to include a QR code to video instructions - but actually it sends you to instructions for a completely unrelated device. As an example of how poor the instructions are, neither the printed material nor the app says what size batteries are needed. I did figure out set up on my own, but it really isn't obvious how to set portion size. The clincher on returning the feeder: it feels like I'm going to strip the screws to open the battery compartment. And, by the way, you have to have a small but sturdy Phillips-head screwdriver to open the compartment. So plan to buy one of those too if you don't have one already.

Sorry I bought this feeder. I should have bought one that didn't "require" a smart phone to work and one that has a visible display. I already discarded the box so I can't return it to Chewy. I cannot find a phone number for Bueteka Support. They make reference to a customer service team and instructional video. No phone # listed and no URL link to any website. Googling the internet does not help and provided only generic instructions and instructions for other Brands of automatic feeders. Will struggle with the manual and hope to get the feeder working the way I need for my new cat.

I absolutely love this feeder! I have multiple cats, and this Bueteka Smart Automatic Dispenser has made feeding time so much easier and more consistent. The 4-liter capacity holds plenty of food, and I don’t have to worry about rushing home to feed them anymore. The setup was super easy, and programming the feeding schedule was a breeze.
