I want to note for people here that the smallest portion size that this machine can dispense is 11grams. Although that’s still a really large portion for my fast eating cat, it’s manageable to work with. This feeder is sleek, tech friendly and I love the app. I’m able to make a feeding schedule in the app and change it at any point. I specifically wanted a Bluetooth feeder for this reason as I know I’ll need to adjust my cats feeding schedule with time to get her acclimated to eating at least 11 grams.

Need More Control

Like another reviewer said if the connection to the bowl malfunctions it doesn’t dispense food. I had to leave work early yesterday because of this. Another problem is that the specs say it will dispense .3 ounces, but it decides when and if you can do that. I have 2 and one of them won’t let me dispense less than .4 ounces. Also, it is entirely inaccurate. I was feeding my cats a half cup each per day each before I got these. That’s 4 ounces. I had the feeder set to dispense 2 ounces (because I’d already observed that it was dispensing too much). One of my cats chonked up in less than a week. These devices were supposed to make my life easier, but they have complicated it tremendously. I’m going to attempt a refund on the one that keeps malfunctioning. These might be good machines for dogs but lack control and nuance for cats.

I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality of this feeder. It's solid and has worked perfectly so far (I've been using it for a week). I had no problems with disassembling it to clean it, or setting up the app and getting it connected to my wifi. The app is neat if you're into gadgets (it has a log that shows exactly how much my cat is eating and when). The noise it makes spooked him for the first day or two, but he quickly learned that that noise means a snack, and he goes running for it.

Malfunctions and Won't Feed Your Pet

Whilst hours away from home for what was meant to be a few days trip, after not having issues for months, my feeder stated that the scale connection was abnormal,

Whilst hours away from home for what was meant to be a few days trip, after not having issues for months, my feeder stated that the scale connection was abnormal, so it would not dispense food. There is no way to bypass this. Unfortunately not feeding my cat at all is infinitely more dangerous than feeding him a bit much, and I had to make emergency arrangements in order to make sure he was okay.

This feeder is a game changer! The ability to perfectly customize feeding to our cat’s needs and change anything as needed is really awesome. I get notifications each time the feeder goes off and then again when he is finished eating with how much he has eaten and how long it took him to eat. When I’m not home, I enjoy the peace of mind I get knowing he has been fed. I also have loved the ability to modify anything from the app. There have been nights where we weren’t going to get home until late to give him his wet food, so I’ve been able to just tell the feeder to give him an extra feed to tie him over. I highly recommend this feeder to anyone with an active life style looking for a way to make sure your pet always stays happy and fed! This feeder a very worthwhile investment!

Does the job and on time!

Cat tried to outsmart it the first day but couldn't get his paw up far enough on the chute ;-) Fairly easy to set up but a little tough to latch the top part securely

Would give this a 5 if we could have set the alarm with 3 different tones for 3 meals (yes, we tried a few times). But the cat has grudgingly made his peace with hearing the same old.

I purchased 2 pawsyncs a little over a month ago now and they are great. The app is super easy to use and I haven't had any issues with it. I like the updates it gives you when they eat and the reminder to fill the tanks. I got these because our new kitten would never stop eating if we tried free feeding when going away. Our older cat took awhile to get used to the new feeder, but now eats from it regularly. The base is really sturdy and we haven't had any issues with the cats knocking it over or breaking into the top and they have tried!

Portions too big

my cat requires a much smaller portion and there is no way to adjust it to fut her needs. if you dont have that issue, probably works great!
