Questions & Answers

5 Customer Questions

Are the bullibones edible? My dog eats one about every 2 weeks.
Answer by ChewyDec 12, 2021
Bullibones are intended to be chew toys that clean teeth and offer oral health benefits. They aren’t designed to be consumed, though they can be ingested in small quantities. We recommend replacing your Bullibone after reasonable wear and, at a minimum, once a month.

Where are they made
Answer by ChewyAug 31, 2020
This chew toy is made in the USA.

Are these toys dishwasher safe?
Answer by ChewyMay 17, 2020
This toy is not dishwasher safe. Bullibones can be washed with hand soap and warm water. Try to keep it from extreme hot and cold temperatures.

What are the measurements
Answer by ChewySep 08, 2020
The Large is approximately 7 x 3.1 x 0.7 inches. The X-Large is approximately 7 x 4 x 0.8 inches.

Safe alternative to Rawhide

My two Golden Retrievers Love these " Chewin' Bones". I give it to them right after they eat and they chew for about 10 minutes and then I put them away until next time. It satisfies their need to chew and keeps them well behaved. They used to have a Bacon flavor but I can't find it anymore.

Not suitable for dogs that enjoy chewing

I bought based on brand reputation and breed size specification. My 60 pound 1 1/2 year old really enjoyed it. However, I always eventually swapped it out for a treat and water as he would cough/choke. Today, I requested a return. After just a couple minutes of chewing this afternoon, he stood up choking and (frothy) vomiting. Thankfully, I was sitting with him with water within reach. He had it for less than a week.

DANGER Warning

Do not get if you have even a moderately good chewer. 7 year old lab destroyed! Thinner end part just completely missing one day after playing. Clearly ingested. Immediately threw out the other purchased.

Great chew

My pups love these bullibones. I have a 100lb lab and a 25lb schnauzer mix. Keeps them busy for hours. My little pup chews on both ends because her paws are small.

Chew Trainer

My previous shepherd/boxer loved these and they would last several weeks. However, I have a new pit bull now that was not really into toys and chewing. She liked the rawhides and other chews that she could destroy in minutes, but she was not interested in anything durable. I tried several "flavored" nylon chew toys and she would chew them for a minutes and then lose interest. I tried a BulliBone again and she took to it pretty quickly. The first one lasted several weeks but the second one only a couple of weeks. Then, for the third bone she started chewing off large sharp flakes that I had to keep taking from her. It only lasted a few days. I personally feel the bits she pulls off of the BulliBones are too big now and I'm worried they will cause internal damage or blockage so I threw it away. However, she's now showing much more interest in her other harder bones that don't flake off into such big pieces. Again, these worked great for my shepherd/boxer mix for years. However, there's something about the way my pit bull chews them that she chews off big pieces. The BulliBones are softer than the ultra durable/hard nylon bones so they are great for a mildly aggressive chewer that only shaves off small bits. I just don't think they are good for an overly aggressive chewer that can rip off big sharp bits. I would still recommend these since they were great for one of my dogs.

Please Beware

I have never written a review like this before regarding a toy and I'm sad to have to make people aware of the dangers of giving your dog this bone. My dog is a chewer so I thought this bone would be ok to give to him. After routine use he now has 2 tooth fractures one of each side of his back molar. I now have $1,000 vet bill to get his teeth pulled. One fracture is from last year and I am really annoyed my vet didn't tell me about it when he got his teeth cleaned or I would have stopped giving him this a long time ago. Now he has 2 fractured teeth. If you give this to your dog please do so with caution. This was his main go to chew toy and I have had to throw it away and vet said don't give to him anymore or any nylon toys like this.

Best dental dogs on the market.

Keeps my dogs busy chewing a bone instead of furniture and other things really enjoy to go through them really quickly but mocha and Luna loves them.

this is no good for big dogs

My Rottie chewed the end off this chew in under 5 minutes after taking the pieces away from him a couple times i just took it away and threw it out.

Not worth it

My 20lb gentle dog started to eat this right away. I know you need to watch your dogs with toys, but half of it was remaining the next day! Not a chewing toy at all!

Puppy likes it

This was not the bacon flavored that my dog just loves. But she does like this one too. She is quite the chewer, and this is definitely one of her favorites. Just not the favorite 1, which is the one flavored with bacon.
