It is perfectly fine to use Burt's Bee's for Puppy shampoo on your adult dog.

Is this product safe to use on cats also?

At this time, this shampoo is not formulated for cats. However, the Burt's Bees Hypoallergenic Cat Shampoo is currently available.

Love it but it's too watered down.

This shampoo makes my pup smell amazing & I love the ingredients; but I have to use handful after handful to lather my very small dog! It's the consistency of water,

This shampoo makes my pup smell amazing & I love the ingredients; but I have to use handful after handful to lather my very small dog! It's the consistency of water, not what I'd expect from a shampoo. I have to use way too much of the product. That makes this shampoo prohibitively expensive. Too bad, really. I love everything else about it! I had to switch to a different shampoo for my Mr. (That's what I call him, "mister"!)

Price was fair and ingredients are simple.

Bought this for our 5 month old, yellow lab. It lathered his coat quickly and rinsed off fast. No reactions on skin which is always a plus!

Too much Aqueous, too little oil component

I bought 7 of these bottles without reading the 3-star or less reviews. This formulation was decent once upon a time. Like so much else in the world of mass production,

I bought 7 of these bottles without reading the 3-star or less reviews. This formulation was decent once upon a time. Like so much else in the world of mass production, Burt's Bees must be cutting cost by reducing the organic component of this mixture. This "shampoo" and "conditioner" is basically like water. It does not lather. Do not use this product for a dog with oily fur or a dog with thick fur. You will need to use an entire bottle for one bath. This product was good pre-Pandemic. Now it is useless. I recommend other formulations. I will be returning to my old stand by shampoo for my Portie. I have 6 bottles of the Burt's Bees remaining. I will essentially be pouring them down the drain during bath time. And apparently, I am not the only customer that experienced this same result. Don't waste your money. Ask your Vet or groomer for a better product. This is useless.

So far so good

I use this in a footbath each night before bed since she like to get her paws and snout really dirty. So far it seems gentle enough to use this way.

Ehhh, it removes dirt at least

It is a shampoo that removes dirt and transforms my pup from beige to white again. Her skin seems okay with it, and she has short fur so I can't speak to detangling,

It is a shampoo that removes dirt and transforms my pup from beige to white again. Her skin seems okay with it, and she has short fur so I can't speak to detangling, de-shedding, or anything like that. However.... She smells so bad when she is rinsed and done. Like it amplifies the wet dog smell. It's also so watery that I almost don't need to get her wet before applying shampoo. I won't be buying it again.
