What type of wood is in this?

This toy is made with food-grade durable chip board.

I see there are two sizes listed but the description only says “parrot” under bird type. Would the small size be too big for a parakeet? Would it be able to stick his head in the openings?

Nutriberries are his fave!

My rats are kinda lazy while inside their cage so they haven't gotten much use out of it yet, but it's not the toy's fault, lol. Good product at a good price. I just bought another one--size small this time--for when my rats (hopefully)eventually destroy this one.

My birds love cardboard. I cut the toy and use the boxes as foot toys and put snacks in them to forage. The caique loves the wooden blocks. Simple 100% birdsafe
