Needed a new dog food
I needed to switch food for my 10 year old Goldendoodle. His eyes were running and his nuzzle was so brown. I knew something was going on. I did a lot of research and decided on this food. He has always been grain free due to ear infections so this Canidae food was the right choice for him.
terrible quality
In trying to find a healthy and budget friendly grain free product I settled on CANIDAE Under the Sun Grain-Free Lamb Recipe Adult Dry Dog Food (40 lb). I expect to find some settling, but the first bag I received had at least a quarter of the bag was powder. I even went through it to make sure there wasn't any bugs in it that may be causing it. I had to moisten the food because of all the pwder when the dogs ate it. I chalked it up to it just being that particular bag. Then the next month I received the next 40 lb bag and it was just as bad. I have removed this item from my autoship. For the price of this food, my dogs should not have to eat dust. I wish I had researched this product more thoroughly, I would have found that I am not the only that has experienced this problem. I love shopping with Chewy and will continue to but, will not ever order this product again
Confused on what to do.
My 5 dogs love this food and I'm seeing so many bad reviews I now don't know what to do. I've been feeding this for about 4 months and no problems so far except for crumbs. Help!

Only food that can be digested because of sensitive stomach
Way too much powder, don't buy
Have used this specific brand and flavor for over 3 years, but last 3 bags purchased have contained more and more powder. Now about 1/4 of the bag is loose powder, and my dog is barely interested in eating it.
Would not recommend this food ! I would never buy it again!!!
This food was all crumbs. Hardly any full size pieces. It was impossible to get a full scoop of kibble without getting “powder”. I paid $70.00 for this bag of food and my dog would not eat it. Very disappointed.
It used to be good
I've been buying under the sun for almost 5 years. With the past few bags there has been an increase in, I don't want to say crumbs because it's much smaller than that, but almost kibble dust? The first time I chalked it up to shipping, sure it happens. It has significantly increased to about 1/4 of the bag. I've bought my last bag. I refuse to pay for dust.
Kibble is super small and tons of crumbs
The size of the kibble is smaller than puppy food. It says this is for adult dogs but the kibble is incredibly small. Not to mention half of the bag is crumbs! My dogs seemed to like the food at first but now they won't eat it which is so disappointing because the ingredients are so great. I was so excited to get this food because of that but they won't hardly touch it because of the kibble size and all the crumbs. One of the pictures shows another brands kibble size compared to this kibble size.

My dog loves this food and I love the big bag and it's price! It is a great value, and a great food.
3 dogs with different needs = 1 bag of food
We just finished our 2nd bag of this and are onto our 3rd! We have a mastiff with allergies, a mastiff mix with very dry skin, and a very picky lab mix... all 3 of the dogs LOVE this food and can’t wait until their next meal! They’re all doing great and looking fantastic! It has taken 2+ years to find a good they all love and do great on! Thank you Canidae and Chewy!
