40lbs not 50

Usually it’s 1lb of sand per 1 gallon of tank water. This bag is 40lbs. Extremely false advertising. Buy somewhere else it’s cheaper.

Bag broken open

The bag was broken open and I feel who ever shipped it knew. I ordered two bag of sand and one was bagged in what appeared to be a trash bag and was spilling sand

Lots of black particles in it

First time turtle owner

All of the aquarium stuff is so new to me and this was a very user friendly situation. I was so nervous about the water being cloudy for weeks at a time, all these

All of the aquarium stuff is so new to me and this was a very user friendly situation. I was so nervous about the water being cloudy for weeks at a time, all these intense stories I had read about sand substrates in general, I did what I thought was appropriate for rinsing and when I put the sand into the tank it was slightly cloudy and I added the clarifier as instructed. I did everything as instructed, I have this irrational fear I'll kill my little turtle with every new thing I do to give it a better quality of life. All that to say the water cleared about within 24 hours , my turtle is still alive and swimming around as usual, and the little guy walks on the bottom now without slipping on the glass. This sand is dummy approved, I'm the dummy

Sand arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and appears to be a very good product. I rinsed the sand before putting it in the tank and saw very little coming off

Sand arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and appears to be a very good product. I rinsed the sand before putting it in the tank and saw very little coming off. It was laready clean. As a result, I wasn't very thourough with the last bags. Still tank only clouded mildly during filling and cleared quickly.
