Can I buy the extensions through Chewy?

The Carlson Pet Products Extension for Maxi Extra Tall Walk-Thru Gate with Pet Door can be purchased separately through Chewy.
I need it to fit a 54" opening. Will I need to buy extensions separately or will this expand to fit on its own?

The gate itself expands to fit openings between 51 and 59 inches.
Will this fit an opening of 47 inches? or does it only fit 51-59

This gate will not fit openings between 38-50 inches wide.
will this fit a 28" doorway width?

Waste of money!!!!

Arrived late in a damaged box, gate was bent and scratched up from damaged box. I figured I could still use it and just touch up where the paint was worn off. Installed gate and it’s SUPER flimsy and wobbly. My Doberman tore it out of the wall within 10 minutes of finishing the install. Now I have damage drywall to go along with a damaged gate!!!

Worth the money

This gate is doing the trick. We thought it might be just a little sturdier, but our dog, who is recovering from surgery, hasn't tried to breach it. Easy to set up and use.

Do not purchase

This gate fell apart after 1 day of use. I have a 12 pound maltese and the gate broke the first time we used it. I is very poorly made. We even tried to weld it back ourselves and it broke in another area. Very cheaply made I would not spend money on this gate.

Awesome gate!

The gateway where the door opens isn't as wide as I thought but I can still fit through it and I'm not a skinny girl lol. The installation wasn't that hard and it holds up! I have 3 dogs so this was a lifesaver for keeping them contained on their side of the house. (My one dog pees inside when it rains and I was tired of shampooing my carpet lol)

Perfect gate for wide space

This gate was super easy to install to the wall even with the floor trim. A template is included for marking the wall. Each of the four metal contact points can be increased and decreased to accommodate the space. The gate isn't too heavy and is easy to open. It works much better than a pressure type gate and is convenient to open and close. The aesthetics are nice and it looks much better than I thought installed. We liked it so much that replace a we will replace the gate in another location with the same style (shorter so we can just step over). It is nice having one gate to let the dogs in and out and another to step over.

gate must open from either side of your opening

the gate is nice quality but the dog has pushed through it already because the catch is not long enough to engage at the bottom. I had to use an extension and the problem I had was that the gate needed to be against the wall on either side.

love the height

Awesome gate! Love the height but wish the space between the bars were a smidge smaller. My kitty is a little on the smaller side and figured out that he can squeeze through the bars on the extension part of the gate so I had to reinforce it with a piece of cardboard to temporarily fix the problem until I can figure out what to do. Other than that it was pretty simple to install and my cat hasn’t tried to jump over it so I’d say it’s a keeper.

Disappointed

Gate ok quality... pet door swings but wish was flap door that locks instead, my son can still fit through pet door, which door little smaller for our pet as resukt. Main gate also bery simple to open so my son figured out in one day how to open that door also. But gate is nice at high, so son can’t climb over it at least; using it more as deterant... The gate is kind of useless to me now, as it can’t really keep my son out of our cat’s litter area... :/ Disappointed with gate overall...

Good for wide entrances

I bought this gate (and its extension) to fit a 76" opening. This is about the only product I've found that will expand this far. Not too hard to put together but you'll need something extra to anchor the gate to the walls if you're going into drywall, like me. They only provide the screws. Hopefully it will stand up to cat/dog shenanigans.
