When my dog sees me open this package he is sitting and raising his paw, loves these! Found a new fav!
My vet wanted me to switch my dog to a rabbit or venison formula to try to determine if she is allergic to chicken/poultry or beef. The treats I was giving her were peanut butter flavor, but had chicken fat in them. I tried these and so far we have not had any problems.
These small treats are small, soft, fresh, and apparently very tasty (she eagerly looks forward to her treat). I cut the treats into tiny bite sized bits. I highly recommend this item, esp for dogs with allergies to Beef, Chicken, and Grain products. NO sign of food allergy reactions from this treat. Thanks Chewy!
we have one that seems to not like much that isn't meat flavored so he was all in for this treat. no digestion issues and they begged for more. i did take a star off because they were soft until we opened the package. then they were less soft after a few days even though the bag was zip locked shut. we would try again.
Our 2 large Northern mixed breed dogs 84 and 118 pounds, love rabbit as a meal and treats. They gobble up the Caru treats quickly instead of giving me that "what are you trying to feed me" look. Caru treats are healthy and sized right for rewards, obedience training and for dog puzzles. Just a few of these treats seem to satisfy our dogs, however they would prefer eating the whole bag.
These treats are great if they come chewy. About half the time they get delivered all dried out.
The package says Soft N Tasty. They are not soft. I do a lot of training with my little dog and need to cut up treats into small pieces. Maybe 2 of these treats were soft. The rest of them were hard. Tried to cut them up, which can be done, but I want SOFT treats. Gave the 2 bags of treats to a friend with a big dog. Wouldn't buy again.
Caru's treats, all that we've tried, have been AWESOME. My little Shih Tzu adores them all, these rabbit ones included. The pieces are about a 1-inch square and about a 1/4-inch thick. Because my pupper is pretty small, I cut these up into ninths, and the little pieces are the perfect size for him. You could also tear off smaller pieces easily enough--they're solid and chewy, but not tough. And they don't have ingredients that bother my sensitive pup's tummy! :)
The rabbit and lamb are soft and must taste awfully good to Sophie!
My dog loves them, & they are easily digestible. They are a smidge pricy, but I can watch for sales.
