I have one picky eater who also struggles with allergies and sensitive stomach. 2nd one is like I can eat anything. It is always struggle to get them to eat and both of them are having frequent gas and stool is no longer solid. When they poop, you can’t tolerate the smell. People have given review that they changed the ingredients. Hopefully they will improve the food quality

GSD doing great, so fa

Ok, I had my GSD allergy tested, though the vet, couldn't take the scratching, ear infections, paw chewing, skin scabs any more. He's really doesn't have allergies to anything food, environmentally, any of relevence in his world. Switched him to this food. Did better. And allergy chews. Tried different allergy chews to one that seemed to 'work'. But the biggest thing? We had a dog sitter who chose not to give any treats for 5 weeks we were gone.(First time leaving pups that long.) But a good thing ... still no allergy responses going on like before. I do have to contribute to this dog food. I recently tried other known foods I've always loved, with a horrible reaction. Thank heavens for months now, my GSD can live quietly at my feet without prednisone and other western meds. For me, I super appreciate this food.

I have a dog that absolutely refused this food. Even my "eat anything" dog wasn't interested. Shame, because I was hopeful to get rid of the fish smell of the other limited ingredient food. I may try one more time with a top dresser I found because the fish option is causing gas in my dogs as well. I will update

This made my dog extremely sick. I started him on this since he has a ton of allergy issues and the ingredients in this seemed like a perfect fit. I had very high hopes. Unfortunately after he was fully transitioned he became very sick. He was not interested in eating, lots of vomiting and diarrhea. He lost almost 10 lbs. I spent over 1k at the vet trying to figure out what was going on with him. Turns out it was this food. Now im back to square 1 with what to feed my boy.

I've been feeding my dog this brand in Rabbit and Alaskan Pollock flavor for four years now. So many adult foods I tried at first gave him gastric distress, but he never had any symptoms with this one. The vet compliments him on being "so healthy!" whenever he comes in. Combined with the crazy amount of exercise it takes to keep him happy, I believe this food is partially responsible for my shepherd/greyhound mix's glowing bill of health.

JUMPING UP AND DOWN

OMG.. allergy ridden, picky eating, dog owners dream! (hope I'm not jinxing it) Made the mistake of spoiling our dogs with a dollop of fresh food and hot water

OMG.. allergy ridden, picky eating, dog owners dream! (hope I'm not jinxing it) Made the mistake of spoiling our dogs with a dollop of fresh food and hot water years ago.. without his "broth" Cooper will not touch plain kibble.. will seriously go all day without eating unless we add some freeze dried raw toppers/wet food/ or something equally fancy.. Idk if he was just starving after 2 months of avoiding the fish flavor of this we tried first, but when I put the rabbit blend down little dude actually ate, without being coerced. He's allergic to chicken, potatoes, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, oats, wheat green beans etc.. so it's been eight years of trying to find something that won't set off his skin allergies that's still nutritionally balanced. (There are blueberries and green beans and tomato in everything it seems..) It's only been a dinner and a breakfast so far, but I am super hopeful that we have finally found the one! Yes, it's expensive.. but so was the kangaroo food we adopted him on... and every other dog food we've ever tried since. Our female has been itching up a storm this past year with no known allergies... after reading the comments I am curious if maybe she developed a pea allergy, if so, hopefully her issues clear up on this too. Also, super stoked that the bag is recyclable!! So many dog food bags aren't, even from the big fancy companies like badlands ranch.

For the first few months on this food we thought it was amazing-a game changer. A novel protein our dog could handle but without the pea proteins our vet told us not to feed him. He loved it (he loves all food though) and we loved that his poops were finally solid. They changed the recipe a couple of months ago. Ever since they changed it our pup has had far less solid poop, and he is slow to eat it at all. We had to give him a food topper just to convince him to eat it. This is not like our dog at all- he is highly food motivated. He loves to eat so much it’s hard to even describe. Today was the last straw for me. He refused to eat this food at all- even with two kinds of topper. Even when I tried to hand feed him. Something is off with this food now. We will not be buying it again.
