Does the door stay open for a set period of time or it stays open indefinitely that same day? If it closes, can cats access the same compartment again during the day or they must eat everything within a certain time slot?

The way this feeder works is there are 6 compartments that rotate in a circle, underneath a cover that has one hole. So only one compartment is visible at a time. You program it to rotate at a certain time. If the cat hasn’t eaten all the food when the compartment rotates away, it won’t be able to access that compartment of food again until it rotates back around

Is this feeder comfortable for cats with whisker fatigue?

I don’t think so, my cat hesitated to use it because the bowls are somewhat deep and narrow, especially compared to the bowl she’d been using previously. She often leaves food on the edges and only eats from the center, unless she’s really hungry.

Can you program the feeder more than 24 hours ahead? For example, 3 meals within one day and two for the following day? Or can you literally just program up to 6 meals within a single day?

The ice packs will only keep the food cold for max of 8 hours. From what I've read in reviews, closer to 5.

I Know It States This Feeder Has 4 Ice Packs To Keep Food WET... But My Dog Gets Refrigeratorated Food, Will This Feeder Work For That As Well?

Works as advertised, could be improved

I think the design of the tray is great, and I love that it’s chargeable and keeps a battery for a long time so you can keep them anywhere in the house without worrying

I think the design of the tray is great, and I love that it’s chargeable and keeps a battery for a long time so you can keep them anywhere in the house without worrying about them staying plugged in. They work as advertised and I haven’t had any issues with them not rotating at their designated times and I’ve been using them for about two months. I do agree with others that programming the time is obnoxious and really feel like a few more buttons wouldn’t go amiss to making the interface more user friendly but it’s not difficult to understand, just annoying to use. If you want to change a single rotation time you have to go through the entire set up from the beginning, this seems unnecessary. I REALLY wish the tray was dishwasher safe, I didn’t realize there were two different versions of this with the plastic vs stainless dishes and I’m wishing I’d gotten the stainless. I also feel like the ice packs don’t really keep the food that cold. Cold air falls so an ice pack beneath the tray doesn’t provide a ton of chill, but for how I use them just to feed throughout a 10ish hour period it’s fine. I don’t think I’d trust it for the full 24 hours they claim.

A lifesaver!

I recently had surgery and like a week after buying this my daughter got the flu so it was perfect timing! We only have to clean and refill the feeder once a day

I recently had surgery and like a week after buying this my daughter got the flu so it was perfect timing! We only have to clean and refill the feeder once a day. No more waking up at 6am to feed them and they get fed when we are away at work/school. At first I was afraid that my orange guy would try ti dip it over it dismantle it as he has done with every water fountain I’ve purchased but he has not even tried! If you find a time when an automatic feeder would be a benefit for you, this is a great option!

The biggest knock on this dispenser is that the ice packs don't stay that cold. Our home is about 60-70 degrees and I'm really only confident in the coldness for about 12-14 hrs. I am thinking of hacking it to add some more insulation or something to the plastic to keep it from warming up too quickly. We occasionally go away for the weekend and have someone come by once a day, so this feeder allows our cat to still get his twice daily wet food. I put the food in little silicone bowls in the spaces because they are easier to clean.

Love love love this product! Have been waiting and looking for this product for a while now. Perfect for my cat that has diet restrictions and need wet food given at every meal. It was difficult to plan my days around his meal times and even more stressful when we travel. This makes it so much easier and cost-effective instead of paying someone to feed him every meal. Best part are the timer and icepacks!!! So thankful for this product - my cat goes crazy when he hears the beep!! Highly recommended for busy pet parents :)

Great idea

This was a great find for my diabetic cat as he needed to eat canned food many times a day. Also, we were planning on some day trip vacations so it would come in

This was a great find for my diabetic cat as he needed to eat canned food many times a day. Also, we were planning on some day trip vacations so it would come in hand. Unfortunately, he passed away before he could get fully used to it. It has time settings and dings when it's feeding time however, he didn't learn the times before he passed and he didn't always hear the ding at feeding time.
