Not a lot of water on top; they can splash a little, but not a lot. Very difficult to knock over when full, but a more determined/strong kitty could probably manage it when less full.

Does this motor have an auto shut off if the water gets to low?

Apparently not. I have used my unit for less than 3 months. It ran low on water and appeared to shut off. But I can't get it to restart. Burn!

How long can you use a filter in a cool room? Every week or 2 for changing filters sounds expensive. Also, I see the replacement filters have a low rating. Any problems with the filters?

I discovered the filter and sponge were full of mold after 3 weeks. I could not find replacement filters and they would not wash clean, so I went without and change water one a week. I would not buy again!

This fountain is working well so far and my dos seem to like it. A detail that I didn’t catch is that it only the top tray is stainless steel. The main basin is a slightly flexible plastic. The LED is very clear in the back near the power source but near the front, it is not bright enough to be very functional. I ordered the black version and it came with a bright white power source and cable. Is there no UX team at the company? The fountain comes with one filter. According to the product literature, you should change the filter every one to two weeks. So, better go ahead and set up replacement filters on Autoship.

I have three kitties and trying to find them a well-made, long lasting high capacity. Water fountain has been next to impossible. Before the Casfuy fountain I have gone through six other water fountains only for them to inevitably breakdown because of poor quality. Finally, I have a water fountain for my cats that is well made and perfect for them! The filters are affordable, and do a great job keeping the water clean! I’ve also noticed my cats have been drinking more water with this fountain, which is always good to know they are staying hydrated! Definitely would recommend this water fountain to anyone with cats!

Wow! Both my cat and my dog love this!

This is the first water bowl that my animals love and prefer over toilet water! Other bowls I’d have to clean all the time, not my two animals share the same bowl!

It is big enough that two medium/fat cats could drink comfortably at the same time, the metal bowl is about as large as a good sized dinner plate. Very nice fountain.
