About This Item

Details

  • Innovative cat carrier is the ideal alternative to a traditional hard-sided carrier; a zipper runs the length of one side and the bottom to quickly and easily wrap the bag around your cat.
  • 100% cotton bag is soft and roomy, allowing her to move and stretch inside of it while providing gentle, comfortable restraint.
  • Soft fuzzy fastener collar wraps gently and securely around her neck to keep her head outside the bag and ease her fear of confinement.
  • Convenient handle becomes a shoulder-strap and a seatbelt loop for the car; easy to lift and move unlike most bulky, awkward pet carriers.
  • Zipper access also allows the vet or groomer to access your cat for exams, nail trims, etc. while the bag stays on; available in three sizes and three colors.

My cat is 13” neck to tail, but weighs 20pounds…what size for him

Has anyone ever had their cat escape from this carrier? Also, while the cat is inside the bag, how easy is it for the cat to take off running? The bag looks loose and that is my main fear, that they will take off even with the bag on them. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2018
This carrier has an adjustable Velcro strip that allows you to tighten the collar snugly around your cat’s neck. Make sure there is enough room to get a finger under the collar. This way the cat is held securely and comfortably. There is no tension on the neck when the carrier is lifted by the handle. Their carrier is roomy and the cat cannot brace against it to work his way out. Make sure to get the right size to fit him properly.

How do I know which size? My cats weigh 10 pounds.

Answer by ChewyMar 25, 2018
The sizing for this Carrier is based upon the cat's weight as well as their body length. Please refer to the attached size chart to find the best fit. If your pet is between sizes, it is recommended to go with the larger size.

can you give your cat a bath in the bag

Nice idea but doesn't deliver

Oliver was terrified in this bag. The Velcro noise behind his ears made him freak out. I could barely get it tight enough to keep his paw inside but finally did

Oliver was terrified in this bag. The Velcro noise behind his ears made him freak out. I could barely get it tight enough to keep his paw inside but finally did. He settled down a bit and I tried carrying him around but he went nuts. I'm hoping to return this because I won't be able to use it on him or my other two cats.

The only stress free option for going to the veterinarian

Markiza went to the veterinarian today. She is the most difficult cat to transport in the car. Every time she is placed in a cat carrier, she vomits, pees and poops, all within 10 min of being placed into the car. I did some research, and decided to get this cloth "cat bag" a try. I do think that $40 is a bit steep for a canvas bag with a zipper and some Velcro. However. This is the FIRST time in Markiza's 8 year life that she did not get stressed out of her mind while being transported!!!!! No vomiting, no pee or poop. We brought her to the car in this "cat bag", and she was sitting next to my daughter in the back seat ( still in the bag). Markiza did shiver when outside ( from fear of the unknown territory). I cannot say that the veterinarian visit was 100% stress free for Markiza, but it was as low stress as possible. The idea behind transporting the kitty this way is that their head is free and they can see everything around them which removes the disorientation and car sickness that comes with a traditional carrier. This "cat bag" is also a good solution for medication of resistant cats. Can't praise it enough! P.S. we did bring a large soft backpack carrier with us, just in case we need it, and the veterinarian techs prefer to bring the cats back for lab work etc in the sturdy carriers, so this "cat bag" cannot fully replace the traditional carrier, you need both.

Cat Carrier

I haven't used it yet, but I laid it on my bed and she sleeps on it so she is getting used to it. She hates a crate, so I'll try this and hope she doesn't freak

Like this carrier

My cat can ride next to me in the passenger seat; I can touch and console him. He sits on my lap at the vet. Down side is that I need to buy the pee pad liner...

Security

My cats feel more secure being held close to me and with their heads out. they can see around them, so it’s not as scary.

Calm cats

I was able to get both cats into the bags and cut their claws without a lot of fuss. Works just as described.

Ease of getting my cat in the bag

My cat doesn't get as stressed getting in the bad as she does the crate. She's more calm and relaxed at the vet.

My cat was comfortable and safe.

It’s so easy to put my cat in it. It’s very quick and fast. The long zipper is great. It really helps.

FEAR NO MORE

My sweet little cat was not fearful or traumatized. I didn't have to chase her around the house like I did with the carrier.
