Replacement pump
I purchased a Cat Mate water fountain about 9 months ago for my 3 cats. I wasn't able to keep on top of the maintenance of rinsing out the pump daily so I needed a spare. Having the spare makes the water stay cleaner for them & elimates the very frequent disassbleing & reassbeling of their water fountain. I just change out the one that needs to be washed out with a clean one. Soak the other one and go on with my day.
worked great for 6 days
I was excited that this motor worked so well when it arrived. The original motor had only lasted for 6 months and never ran as well as this one did. I was very surprised when it died on day 6. I tried the descaling instructions on the cord, but it never ran again.
Stopped working
Ordered a new pump about a month ago and it all of a sudden stopped working after cleaning it. I do not recommend since this is our second pump. Hopefully chewy will make this right! Our cats absolutely love this fountain, but if the motor is only going to last month then we will have to look at a replacement somewhere else!
Faulty or inadequate
I have 2 Cat Mate fountains, one had a motor that just stopped. I purchased this replacement motor on August 2022 a few months later it started not performing well. We dried and was very careful when washing and replacing water. It is completed not functioning now and I a forced again to buy a replacement. If there is a life expectancy for this motor please let consumers know. We have 3 Maine Coons cats and the Cat Mate water fountain is the one the favorite. We went through 5 different water fountains from different manufacturers. Thank you a respond will be greatly appreciated.
Great Pump
This is a great pump. We have two fountains for our cats and the pump went out on one. Ordered replacement it works great

Good pump-ONLY
This is just the pump, the power supply is not included. Luckily the power supply was still good. I plugged in the pump and the Princess is happy her water is once again flowing.
Product Review
It’s been three weeks since I bought this product and what I can say is this: This pump is smaller than the one came with the cat mate product making the need to refill my pet’s water station more water earlier than usual. But other than that, it still works great
Pump for catmate
Mine quit so order new one .figured out with old one how to take apart to clean now have two that works . The little white spin wheel gets slimy looses it magnetic hold cleaned it now it works so I have a spare lol
Take it Apart and Clean it!
I love this water dish, but, as I was getting ready to order my 2nd replacement pump in two years, I started looking through reviews for the pump and found several people talking about disassembling the pump to clean it. This had occurred to me, but I couldn’t figure out how to get it apart. There are any number of helpful videos on YouTube showing how. It is super easy, and my pump is back to running like new. I am going to start cleaning the pump ever time I change the filter. It’s a good little pump once you know how to clean it. Took away a star because I had to track down the information myself.
