Can I buy the piece that goes from the wall to the plug?

At this time, we do not carry the wall adapter for this pump.

How is the pump properly maintained? Must I take it apart or simply let it dry?

The pump should be cleaned every 2 weeks to help keep it in tip-top shape. The pump can be disassembled for cleaning.

This is basically the same as the old (dead) pump

I bought this after the original pump died. I believe we bought it around 2013, so 12 years of non-stop running is pretty good, and it had been making a humming

I bought this after the original pump died. I believe we bought it around 2013, so 12 years of non-stop running is pretty good, and it had been making a humming noise for at least half that time. The top has been redesigned, but all the rest seems to be the same as the old pump. If I had wanted to I think I could have just switched the cover and maybe the inside water baffle from the old one to this one and it would have worked just fine.

Says cat mate but yet pump says pet mate which is what I have used for 12 years with my Pagoda fountains, which we love! The cord is short yet it works with the plug in end we have but it won’t pump! It makes noise only and tiny movement only. No suction cups which I wasn’t too concerned with but it is no good for us! First time ever we will be without a pump for our fountain in 12 years! So I ordered elsewhere where I could get it quick as we miss it working and the sound we miss and my kitties love our fountain! I guess stick with what you know works!
