If you do not scoop the wet bunches out, the litter will not perform properly. You must empty the wet bunches and solid a few times per week.
Bamboo
Pour entire lb bag into litter pan. Remove solid waste and bunches of litter that form around urine, and discard. It is very important to mix the dry and wet spots to maintain the litter's absorbency and odor control for 30 days.
I have to admit, I was kinda drawn to the package because my cat's name it Blue, but I was looking for eco-friendly cat litter options. This bamboo based litter was very interesting in that a 7 lb bag was supposed to last an entire month, since its was equivalent to 40 lbs of clay litter. I've since come to repeat this order and love this litter. I would note this litter doesn't clump, but the wet spots bunch up. They're easy to scoop out and I flush them down the toilet. I live in a 1BR condo, and the litter box is in the bathroom, but you'd never know it was there. Great product and I'n going for the big box next now that I've used it a couple times.
I have tried so many litters, I like the natural ones best. This bamboo one is amazing. Doesn’t track, keeps odors down and lasts long. Finally found a litter I love
Bad texture, very difficult to scoop. Instructions say to "rinse litter with water" - entirely too cumberson. Cat wasn't impressed either! Donated remainder to local rescue groups, hopefully they can use it.
I was pleased to find a natural litter after reading about the potential risks from other materials. The directions indicate to scoop “wet bunches a few times a week” I found that difficult to do, and I’m a twice daily scooper. The urine did not bunch and fell apart when trying to scoop. After one week with one cat, the consistency was almost too thick for my cat to bury his business. He accepted the litter and did his best. In fairness I was not a clay litter user before. It did deliver, as being odor absorbing. Disappointed.
