How do you attach this to the litter box?

These refill pads are designed for use with the Magic Blue Cartridge (sold separately), a reusable holder that fits every litter box. Place two pads into the holder. Put the sticker on the docking station and peel off the remaining paper. Attach the docking station to the top of the litter box interior. Insert the holder into the docking station.

How often do you change them out?

Works on old wall sticker refill container.

My cats don't have a covered litter box. I use these as the replacements for a cheap little Smartycat odor absorber filter box. It comes with a cardboard holder

My cats don't have a covered litter box. I use these as the replacements for a cheap little Smartycat odor absorber filter box. It comes with a cardboard holder that sticks to the wall above the cat box. I really didn't expect much because the entire mud porch is dominated with litter smell during Winter when windows are closed and cats are kept inside. I thought that much of the smell would bypass that filter, but these little things have actually made a significant difference in the odor of the room. I didn't have hope that a single wall sticking filter would capture much but it did.

This doesn't reduce the odor in the litter pan

This was my first time using this item to reduce the odor in my kitty named Tiger litter pan. I uses 2 packets at a time. And it does nothing at all. No odor smell

This was my first time using this item to reduce the odor in my kitty named Tiger litter pan. I uses 2 packets at a time. And it does nothing at all. No odor smell is reduced. I will not buy this item again. I thought that it would help. I already use scented cat litter. And scoops out the litter everytime she uses her litter pan. But it doesn't help to reduce the odor in her litter box at all.

Contains Harmful Chemicals?

Since urine smells stronger in the warm month, I thought an odor-reducing pad might help. However, when I cleaned the Clevercat high-sided, top-entry litter box

Since urine smells stronger in the warm month, I thought an odor-reducing pad might help. However, when I cleaned the Clevercat high-sided, top-entry litter box and looked in the Magic Blue cartridge, under its lid I saw a coating of nutmeg-colored powder under the circular "Catit" nameplate--the cartridge was under the lid of the Clevercat box and therefore upside-down. It didn't strike me until later that there are slots on either side of the Catit name plate so nutmeg-colored powder had to have sifted through the slots onto whatever was below the cartridge. I didn't become alarmed until I saw what looked like a greasy chemical burn on my cat Sox's back. (Sox has some almost nutmeg coloring, so I hadn't noticed the powder on him.) I can't be 100% sure that was the cause of the burn, but there has been nothing around here (or used around here) that could have caused such a burn. The box only says it contains charcoal, but there are obviously also chemicals--charcoal is not nutmeg colored. The mixture shouldn't be sifting out of the cartridge--not from the top or any of the openings on all 4 sides of the Magic Blue cartridge. Even in the mostly enclosed Clevercat litter box, I notice no improvement in the urine smell although I totally change the litter every 3-4 days. I was hoping to make it every 5 days!

Urine Smell

My cat has the strongest urine of any cat we have owned. I have the world's most sensitive nose. So we do not use scented litter, who wants to hold a ball off purring

My cat has the strongest urine of any cat we have owned. I have the world's most sensitive nose. So we do not use scented litter, who wants to hold a ball off purring cat litter? I haven't found an unscented cat litter that clumps well enough to eliminate her odor when I walk by the box. This seems to be working.I haven't noticed the urine smell when I walk by. The downside to this is I have not been as diligent at scooping as I normally am.
