How do you change the batteries?

Pop off the base to access the battery cover on the bottom of the topper. You will need to use a Phillips head screwdriver to open the battery cover to replace the batteries. The product uses 3 x AA batteries.

mixed felines about it

While both my kitties actually love this an I already replaced the first feather in just 5 days! I'm very disappointed to see you can't buy replacements they'll definitely need. The fact that you can connect to the track and that it is has a separate base is a great feature. The toy is motion activated with 2 speeds which is great so they can get enriched when your not able to play. cons as others said it is loud on both settings also that it is does seem to get caught the motor so kitties put their paws in to get it which can be unsafe for them if toy is still trying to go I saw this happening to my cats but was their to stop the toy. My cats love it though when they ignore a lot of toys so it's nice to see them like something sad that I won't be able to replace the feathers for them to keep using and that it doesn't seem made to last though so happy they are having fun but maybe choose something else similar that's made to last or let's you get replacements since this one does not.

Noisy, no difference in speeds, broke first day

I got this and the base ball toy today and my cats have already removed most of the feathers. It's supposed to have a slow and a fast speed, but both are exactly

I got this and the base ball toy today and my cats have already removed most of the feathers. It's supposed to have a slow and a fast speed, but both are exactly the same. It's also incredibly noisy - definitely not a toy I will leave on overnight. The little feather toy mostly just spins in circles, rattle popping out. The cats enjoy it short spurts, but I didn't expect it will be usable for long since they half destroyed the feather toy the first day and it only comes with one additional feather piece.

Didn’t work out of the box

This didn’t work as advertised right out of the box. The replacement feathers just came loose from the holder, the original ones were already a bit too delicate

Chewy was nice enough to give me a full refund! P.S. I took the thing apart, managed to repair it and it now works _somewhat_ OK, but obviously that’s not what everyone would do!

I can’t figure out how to make it work like the video advertised. Not sure if the internal mechanics arrived broken? My cat just stares at it.
