how is the urine gathered for the dip test??
Answer by ChewyMar 02, 2020
For a canine it is recommended to use a cup and monitor for a sample. For felines the CheckUp Wellness Home Cat Testing Kit includes a special sand that will allow for a sample to be collected.

how do you know what the 3 frowny faces mean? is this relatable to a scale?

Will it give me an accurate glucose reading, & does it also test for ketones?
Answer by ChewyJun 23, 2020
These strips do not give an exact reading, it will give you a glucose range that your pet falls within, The color-coded results will show whether they are within the negative or positive range. CheckUp is ideal if you have to monitor your cat’s health regularly through urine. This is common for felines suffering from Diabetes and Kidney Conditions. CheckUp should not replace a visit to your vet, or annual routine visits. CheckUp is ideal for in-between routine visits, or, for pet owners that require frequent urine collection by their vet.

Why do the glucose test strips get darker after 30 seconds? The instructions say read at 30 seconds? at 30 seconds it was one color but then continued to get darker the longer it sat.
Answer by ChewyMar 17, 2021
The color will continue to change the longer the strip sits. It is recommended to check your results at exactly 30 seconds. Please see the image below.

Defective Product

These glucose strips have shown three negative readings at different times in the dog's insulin cycle. They simply don't work. The dog was tested earlier in the week so we know that her blood glucose is much higher. I'm forced to trust my own awareness of the dog's condition, and unfortunately cannot rely on CheckUp strips to help monitor my dog's diabetes whatsoever. This product will be returned. This is quite frustrating, as we are low on time and funds already. We just wanted to care for our pooch, not waste precious time and money.

Vet says these do not work!

I used several of these test strips on my dog before I took him to the vet. It never registered as high. Always normal. I follwed the directions. He has an extreme case of diabetes. Do not use these strips.

Dog Urine Test Strips

Very good product, easy to use and accurate. We test our dog's (diabetic) urine each morning and if the test isn't negative we move to blood testing. So it makes diabetic management easier to test urine instead of a blood test every day.
