how is the urine gathered for the dip test??

For a canine it is recommended to use a cup and monitor for a sample. For felines the CheckUp Wellness Home Cat Testing Kit includes a special sand that will allow for a sample to be collected.

Will it give me an accurate glucose reading, & does it also test for ketones?

These strips do not give an exact reading, it will give you a glucose range that your pet falls within, The color-coded results will show whether they are within the negative or positive range. CheckUp is ideal if you have to monitor your cat’s health regularly through urine. This is common for felines suffering from Diabetes and Kidney Conditions. CheckUp should not replace a visit to your vet, or annual routine visits. CheckUp is ideal for in-between routine visits, or, for pet owners that require frequent urine collection by their vet.
Why do the glucose test strips get darker after 30 seconds? The instructions say read at 30 seconds? at 30 seconds it was one color but then continued to get darker the longer it sat.

The color will continue to change the longer the strip sits. It is recommended to check your results at exactly 30 seconds. Please see the image below.
