My puppy arrived scratching like mad! I called the breeder to ask if he knew what could be causing it. He said the whole litter was scratching but the vet didn't

My puppy arrived scratching like mad! I called the breeder to ask if he knew what could be causing it. He said the whole litter was scratching but the vet didn't find any cause. I took my pup off anything that had chicken meal in it (it's made with toxix 4D meat). Then I added unsalted sardines to her diet and 1 of these supplements. The continually scratching stopped in less than a week.

Decent omega-3 supplement for cats and dogs

The Chew + Heal Mini wild-caught omega-3 softgel supplement are of decent size, despite the advertisement of "mini." There is no strong smell to it upon opening

The Chew + Heal Mini wild-caught omega-3 softgel supplement are of decent size, despite the advertisement of "mini." There is no strong smell to it upon opening the bottle, just a faint smell of the softgel capsule. Our dog has no problem taking it - we had cut open the capsule, though pretty sure he would have eaten it as is. We cut opened the capsules for the cats, as none of them were interested in the un-cut ones. Two out of our 5 cats would lick it, the others gave it a sniff and walked away. Overall, not a strong smell even when cut open, and not exceedingly oily, which is great as some pets may get turned off by the strong fishy smell. The packaging was good, though the bottle would have benefited from a little padding (e.g., cotton ball) and desiccant packets.
