Our vet recommended fish oil for our Great Pyrenees’ sore joints. We have tried this therapy before and she refused to eat anything with the oil on it. So I ordered a new brand and was so surprised she actually likes it! I will not use any other brands now. Thanks again Chewy

I ordered the wrong thing for my dog and the nice folks at chewy took care of it so easily. I was given the option of donating the product to a local shelter and getting credit which I though very generous for what was after all my own mistake.

So, my dog had flaking skin and hair that was falling out. I just got him as a pup and he is a rescue. The vet said to put Revolution flea and tick stuff on him and it helps to clear it up and to also try fish oil. I did not do the chemical revolution at his age and got him this Fish Oil. One pill a day down the trap with peanut butter and in ONE WEEK, his coat is shiny. No more flaking skin and he is not shedding his hair. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

This was the fish oil recommended by name by our vet as it is formulated for dogs and not just a human grade oil re-marketed. Our dog doesn't take them without hiding it in a treat so if you are hoping to hand feed or just throw it in the dog bowl I would say that's not going to happen. She took the first one hand fed and after that decided they were not for consumption without coaxing.

First, I LOVE Chewy and this review is only about Nutri-Vet Fish Oil Softgels. Never mind any benefits for your dog -- YOU will get to experience stinky oily fishy goodness squirted in your eyes, on your clothing and on your hands (good luck washing it off) due to the hard, brittle capsule that holds each dose. I am used to softgels actually being soft. Easily pierced with a sharp knife. Squeezable. The Nutri-Vet capsules are none of the above. And, unlike the drugstore fish oil capsules I previously used, there is a distinct odor. I gave up on these after three or four days.

Tried to just put in her food as a whole pill, but she did not want. Then punched hole in pill and squeezed the oil onto her food. Still did not want! Then I simply put the pill in the back of her throat to swallow. After 20 minutes she vomited the fish pill and her entire breakfast. She no longer is interested in taking the pills.

I just give him these in the morning with a half can of pedigree he eats it all and I have noticed less itching.He doesn't she'd as much and I believe he is feeling better.
