How much sugar do these jerky contain

are they soft for my dog to chew and do it clean teeth and gums

Yes! I have an older Chihuahua/MinPin (10yrs/12lb) and she does fine with these. My super chewer Chihuahua/Jack Russell (5 yrs/20lb) also loves them, so they are great for any size dog. I like them because I can break them into small pieces to add to my picky Chihuahua’s kibble so she eats (it works). As far as cleaning their teeth, I’m not sure. They have sugar in them (that’s what keeps them soft and flexible), so I wouldn’t really count it as a teeth cleaning chew. 🙂

The strips of meat are dried at low temperatures to avoid overdrying it to the point where it is brittle.

Dog liked the flavor, but not enough chew to them

While my grain-free dog liked them, they lasted barely a second because they are so soft and hardly any chew. I wouldn't say it's a downfall, and obviously he enjoyed

While my grain-free dog liked them, they lasted barely a second because they are so soft and hardly any chew. I wouldn't say it's a downfall, and obviously he enjoyed them, I was just thinking "jerky" that he would gnaw on for a few seconds to make it seem like effort. Lol. All in all, it's a great option if you need a grain free treat. Small dogs can easily enjoy these. Bigger dogs would need a few pieces (some were quite small) to make it seem like a treat I think.

I spent a lot of time researching a better alternative for Limited Ingredient chicken jerky treats that were not soft and were made in the US and I stumbled across

I spent a lot of time researching a better alternative for Limited Ingredient chicken jerky treats that were not soft and were made in the US and I stumbled across these re-branded from American Journey to Chewy brand treats. The treats were fine, my husky loved them, but I do not feel that my value for the dollar was worth it. The 6.5 oz bag contained nothing but numerous broken pieces, many of which were entirely too small to even be considered anything but crumbs... Chewy is a great company, not to disparage them, but I will not be ordering these particular treats again. Hit or miss - and Chewy seems to have hit the very rare miss on these specific treats.

For a small dog with a delicate digestive system, these limited ingredient treats are a must. I'm disappointed that American Journey discontinued their production, as any change is rough for my Chinese Crested Powderpuff. But, this replacement from Chewy is appreciated. Sadly, it wasn't immediately available upon the discontinuation. But, better late than never! We like the small pieces, so we don't have to break a larger jerky into something manageable for Bougie's small mouth. Thank you Chewy for taking up production of a limited ingredient product.

Broken - stinky!

The bag was so small in comparison to our previous bags...and the treats were broken to pieces, greasy, and smelled terrible! I'll not be repeating an order...and will continue to search for a better option.

Disappointed

It's tiny pieces which I can't give to a small dog because of they swallow one it would get stuck in their throats. I can only give them maybe 4 pieces per bag
