Are any of the ingredients in this food sourced from China?

The manufacturer will source their high-quality ingredients within the United States depending on availability. However, certain ingredients will need to be outsourced (i,e: Lamb, Venison, Duck, Rabbit, Vitamin Packs, etc.) to ensure top quality and freshness while meeting a reasonable price point f or pet parents. The Lamb is sourced in New Zealand, the Salmon Oil is sourced in Chili and the Duck is sourced in France.

is the dry food slow cooked or extruded?

Chicken Soup for the Soul kibble are all cooked in a 2 stage cooking process. They are precooked in the Extrusion Process using steam. This is the phase where the ingredients are shaped into the target piece sizes and then cooked using steam so they hold that shape. Those pieces are then transferred to a large oven where they are finished cooking using a hot air convection type oven. This oven finishes cooking and drying the pieces down to the target moisture level for food quality and food safety.

They loved it! Ate it very quickly!

Sometimes if I give them something new they are a bit picky, but they ate this immediately! Cleaned the bowls! I love the ingredients and that it has healthy benefits

I have an 11 year-old aussie mix that is a rescue. She is not picky at all. She will eat anything. I just wanted to switch from canned food to something a little less costly. I saw the good reviews on this and she absolutely loves it. I put hot water on it and it becomes almost the same consistency of the canned food I had previously purchased. The ingredients are tailored specifically for older dogs, and it's a company that I believe makes good quality food. Stevie approves!
