This water bottle is getting a bad wrap, by reviewers! Those that are saying this water bottle won't stay in it's clip, are simply doing it wrong. When positioned correctly, the water bottle SNAPS INTO PLACE. When you place the bottle in the clip, and there's NO SPACE between the back of the clip and the bottle, slightly turn to the left or right and it will snap into place. Works great! I've bought two :)
I have purchased two of these bottles for my 7.5lbs maltipoo puppy because I love them so much. The first one I received is a pretty light lavender-periwinkle color, and I placed it inside her kennel. The second one is a soft orange-tangerine color, which I mounted above the foot of my bed because we sleep together. The only time the nozzle drips is right after she drinks, or when I am removing the bottle from its holder in order to refill it. Detaching the bottle from the holder is incredibly easy. Previously, I had been using a bottle that was held in place with a noisy metal spring that grated on my ears every time I had to pull it off my dogs cage, so the plastic clip is a big upgrade. The fact I was able to mount this on the wall was also a big plus, and something I would not have been able to do with a spring-held bottle. You can even replace the bottle with a standard size soda bottle if you want since the nozzle will fit any of them. Maybe you will want a larger bottle or to keep one in the fridge and rotate them out. The only downside is that you cannot pick your color, but honestly I have been happy with all of the colors I have gotten so far I have also gotten a light blue in the travel bottle version. They are bright pastels, which I think is cute and looks nicer than the harsh primary colors or neutrals you will normally find on cheap products. Pros: easy for my dog to drink from, does not drip, easy to refill, versatile placement options, bottle is replaceable Cons: colors are random
I wanted a "nipple-like" waterer for my little dog since she prefers to lick rather than drink from a bowl, probably due to a collapsing trachea. However, since she's scared of it, it hasn't been of any use. That said, it doesn't seem to drip out on its own. It seems like it would be useful for a crate but since I didn't want to screw into a wall or cabinet, I never figured a way to hang it.
The Choco Nose No Drip Water Bottle does not leak when mounted straight. It is perfect that way. It does leak if you turn it on its side while putting the lid back on or while holding it on its side. Which is not a problem for us as we learned not to turn it on its side. We purchased this for our Maine Coon cat. Water doesn't come out easily. He really has to press on the ball to get anything out of it. The spout is a yellow/orange color. We got a second bottle hoping to see if a different color worked better. Unfortunately we received the same color & have the same problem. Perhaps this bottle may work properly for others.
These water bottles are NOT leak proof. I bought 9 of them for my dog sitting business a while back and I have them in different size wire crates. I don't fill them anymore as they make a mess. They don't leak by themselves like other brands but yes every time I open and close the crate doors making a mess inside the crates. Also, they don't stay on their crate holders when dogs are playing outside the crates and rub against them, they fall off or get squished. NOT RECOMMENDED!
This product works great! Easy to install, and easy to refill with water if you read the instructions. Once my dog figured out how to use this he drank the whole bottle, and he wasn’t even locked in his cage
Great for the crate! Our little puppy loves to splash in his water bowl so this no drip bottle for his crate works perfectly. Keeps his bedding dry and puppy hydrated.
Does not work on an airline crate no matter how you hang it. It drops off is it is not clicked in place and then the water leaks out everywhere.
I did not know these were a thing until I looked for them. Read the reviews and people said to place it near the faucet in the tub where the kittens are already licking from. I used rubberbands to hold it there after hand bottle feeding then until they got the hang of it. (Couldn’t give them a bowl of water cause they just play in it and make an absolute mess.) This has been the answer to all of our problems. I love it. Very well made, and a perfect size for my kittens growing into adulthood. A bonus would be to have a different mounting system if the crate weren’t available. Maybe someday I’ll get them a water dish!
I own several sizes of the standard, airline approved, plastic crate with metal barred doors. The placement of the attachment point and the spout on this water bottle do not line up anywhere on these doors therefore it's impossible to attach to the crate. It's as if this bottle was made for a specific crate design--not mine--but this is not stated anywhere in the product description or the packaging that comes with it.
