I'm disappointed in these as well as the other balls I recently bought. My toy obsessed dog doesn't even chase these much of the time and leaves them in the yard. They don't bounce well and don't have much weight to them. The openings don't seem to help with his breathing while carrying in his mouth because he sounds the same as when he plays with his preferred ball. He likes these even less than the glow balls and medley I chose during the sale Chewy had going. Don't waste your money. Get the solid Chuckit balls instead.
These balls do help with my goldens breathing. My golden retriever loves the Chuckit balls. These are very light and help with breathing and easy on his teeth when he catches them in the air. But being light they sometimes fall out of the wand and don't travel as far. But overall we are pleased with them...
They are supposedly for the medium Chuckit! but I find it to be a bit loose, though it will still fly. My 25 lb terrier mix is a better suited dog for it, rather than my 1 yr old Lab. He can chew through it too easily.
I bought 6 of these for me to be able to keep my puppy non-stop can fetch them. I found out that my girl grunts when she is playing ball it means that she is happy. The plastic rubber product can be chewed on but my girl doesn't want to destroy it. I will keep her in stock!!
I have a Bull Terrier named Gus who is obsessed with this ball for some reason. He doesn't care about any other ball, just this one. He will play fetch with it for hours. They do wear out easy I have to give him a new one every four days or so.
I purchased 2 of these Chuckit! brand balls when my little guy Benji was a puppy, and 3 1/2 years later the second ball is finally showing cracks in it! I absolutely recommend these!
Fostering a puppy who’s now over 15 lbs and these balls are a perfect size for the puppy and our 1-yr old 50 lb pupper. I don’t know how they would hold up for a more aggressive chewer but for these two they are great.
My dogs and I all love these balls. They are easy for the dogs to grab. If I accidentally hit a dog with one, it doesn't hurt them. They aren't very good for dogs that are heavy chewers. My new foster dog has been chewing through them every chance he gets.
I purchased a ball launcher so that I could throw the ball farther for an energized husky. The launcher came with two tennis balls, which have fuzz on them. Our husky loves to skin those balls, so I bought these rubber Chuckit balls. They are wonderful, fit into the launcher, are waterproof and Mochi doesn’t try to destroy them. They are also more comfortable in Mochi’s mouth. After a good slobbery game of chase, these balls are easy to wash and quick to dry.
They were destroyed in seconds. I tried one with my grand doodle to see if a different dog made a difference. It did not. I had to take it away from both dogs.
