Great toy!
lyle loves this ball. We started with the smaller one and he seems to like this one even more. I stuff it with scraps of old shirts and hide a bone it it. He really likes to pull out the scraps to get to the treat. He even likes when we put a toy in that he can't get out. He throws the ball around the room and does not seem to get frustrated. He brings it to us to take out when he wants the toy back. Excellent purchase. I highly recommend.
Our Boxers Love This Toy
Our boys love this toy! It is really durable too. One of our pups is a chewer and he hasn't been able to destroy this toy. Our previous boxer girls also had one of these balls and they loved it as well. That ball lasted over 6 years, which was a big part of the reason I bought another one for our boys.
Not built sturdy
I gave the toy to Bodie to play with and had forgotten to take off the small nylon piece the holds the description tag on. Bodie pull on that nylon piece and it cut right the the rubber. So now the Hol-ee Roller has a tear in the structure of the toy. Bodie has no toy now. It happened in the first minute after it was out of the Chewy Box. Very disappointed. I should have be more careful but I feel the toy is definitely not sturdy.
Holee roller dog toy
I think this is a very poor product. First it has a strong odor of vanilla, which doesn't come off even with washing. Second my dog who is medium sized, chewed through it in less than 5 minutes. I do not recommend this product.
False claims of durability
While the Hol-ee Roller seemed like an attractive and fun toy for play time or fetch, it only lasted about an hour before my 11 lb dog chewed straight through it. JW Pet makes the egregious claim that the Hol-ee Roller is "super durable and double-molded to stand up to tough chewers" and "tough enough to stand up to constant chewing". Neither claim was even close to holding true.
My pug's favorite toy
Just like the headline says. We gave our upstairs neighbors a larger version for their Golden and he also loves it. Great indoor ball toy for treats and otherwise. Great for a little chewer like my little guy.
Nice toy, but!!
It has a strange over powering smell. It seemed to get worse after a day of dog play. My wife brought into the kitchen and it was even worse indoors. Not sure what it's made out of but the smell is horrible!!
Not for chewers
We had the small one for our dachshund and he liked to cary it around but lost it… we decided to get him the medium and he chewed it into little rubber pieces within the first 5 minutes.
Hol-ee Fun!
I have purchased the medium and jumbo sizes of these balls. The medium is the perfect size for fetch, as I can kick it pretty far for my heeler. I popped a tennis ball into the jumbo, and she has so much fun shaking it. My dog loves the texture of these - she spends a lot of time thrashing and biting. They hold up extremely well. Will purchase forever!
Durability
I thought I was buying a rubber ball that I usually buy at a specialty dog store. That ball is chew proof yet made of soft rubber and not hard. Unfortunately this ball is not the same and has fallen apart in no time. I will not buy this brand again.
