Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

I purchased two of these kick balls in January, my German shepherd loves them! We play every day, she looks forward to the park so we can play kick ball together. Well After 6 months of daily play time, of at least 20min per day, we went to the vet for a checkup. The vet informed me that the fabric used on these types of balls has worn down my dogs canine teeth and they are now flat instead of pointy. Apparently tennis balls can cause the same thing. I wish these companies had the best interest of the dog when making these products, if the ball was entirely made of rubber like the smaller ones, it wouldn't be a risk to my dog. But now my dogs favorite ball has to go and I have to find another alternative so she can play again. Great concept for a dog toy, horrible fabric for dog teeth. Please Chuck It make a rubber version or a softer fabric!!
We purchase alot of Chuck It Items. My dog loves them. 2nd time purchasing this one. This one only lasted a couple of weeks. Not even a month since purchasing. It is literally falling apart at the seams. Highly disappointed in the quality. This is a dog toy and should be more durable. My dog will be even more disappointed because it will soon be chucked in the trash.
Our German shepherd mix loves these. She loves to chase them and play tug of war with them and eventually she loves to tear them to pieces. I think we buy an average of about two a year. Once the foam is exposed it’s pretty much game over and we end up finding pieces all over the yard. She has a blast with it so I can’t knock it completely but I wish they held up better.
Our pup (60lb Staffy Mix) really enjoyed playing with this ball. Having something so large to fetch was entertaining. However, the blue rubber part of the ball tore pretty quickly. She wasn't chewing on it. Just her teeth sinking in while picking it up wore it out fairly quickly. It didn't get really bad too fast though so durability is okay. Probably lasted about 6 months. She like it enough that we got her the football and the smaller version on this ball.
My dog destroyed a soccer ball that he had as he loved carry it around, toss it and play fetch. He deflated it and stripped it of all it's color. I bought this ball as a replacement. He can grab it easily, toss it, fetch it and pay tug with it. It seems super durable and I think it will way outlast his soccer ball.
My dog loves this ball this is actually the 2nd one we got they hold up really well. The only reason we bought a second is because a friend's dog loved chewys so much I didn't want to take it from him. Can take lots of chewy lasts for super long time
This is a favorite outdoor toy for our boxer. She loves retrieving it after jumping and catching it in the air. After play time she wants to bring it into the house to keep the game going. Needless to say, that doesn't happen. She has to wait until her next outdoor excursion.
This is a great toy but if you leave a Jack Russell alone to play, they will show you "what it is made of". The blue part is pretty tough, but the nylon is what was chewed through. Oh well, he still plays with it even with all the foam falling out.
I managed to stir up my right hand and left elbow by constantly tossing balls with a Chuckit. This ball allows me to abuse my feet and knees instead. A welcome change and a chance to heal. It’s easy for me and my Golden to pick up and carry.
This is our dog's favorite ball. It's slightly smaller than a soccer ball but infinitely tougher. It's great to kick, and super easy for our dog to pick up in her mouth and carry back to us (or away from us, as she likes). I wasn't fond of it for throwing so much but that's mostly because my hands are too small to hold the grips comfortably. No matter; it's really meant for kicking, and boy does it go far with a reasonble kick! It's super tough, too - we've had this ball for about 9 months and only now has our dog managed to tear the fabric - which she very smartly did to give herself a little handle for improved carrying. Funny pup. It's also the most popular toy at the dog park - every time we took it there, all the dogs went wild for it, no matter how big or small. We now own three of these suckers - one in each car and one for the backyard, so we have a ball wherever we happen to go. Best investment in dog toys we've made, by far.
