does this glow?
Answer by KimberlyJan 08, 2022
Yes if it’s left in the sun, or you can “charge” with a flash light to make it glow by holding the flashlight up to the lighter color area.

what are the dimensions of this ball?
Answer by ChewyNov 28, 2017
The small's dimensions are 5.5 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches and the large, 7.8 x 7.8 x 7.8 inches.

Is this different from the orange/blue ball?
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2019
The difference between this and the Chuckit! Kick Fetch Ball is that this one glows in the dark.

Is this ball durable. I've bought my dog durable balls and he is able to tear thru them all
Answer by ChewyDec 06, 2021
This ball is made of rubber, EVA foam and polyester for a puncture resistant ball and will not deflate. Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

don't waste your money

I have a German Shepherd. She loves to play ball and this style of ball is her favorite. The regular one that we get her is currently unavailable, so we opted for this one since it was the same style. She destroyed it completely in 2 days. After just a couple of grabs all the white areas of the ball were cracked. I won't purchase it again.

Fun, Fun, Fun

My Griff loves this ball. He has the orange one also that he enjoys. I do not let him play with them alone for fear of chewing it. Because we play catch together he doesn’t have an opportunity to chew on it. With that said, I’m not making claim to it’s durability.

Perfect for a big pup

My 100+ lbs black lab LOVES this ball. It’s easy to throw or kick and has grooves for him to catch and carry it with me worrying he’s going to swallow it.

Good, but...

My dog absolutely loves these toys and we have a blast playing fetch with them, but the "glow" version doesn't hold up anywhere near as long as the orange/blue version for us. We only play fetch with these, no chewing allowed, but even just my dog squeezing this one while he brings it back pops the seams and tears the rubber. If your dog has strong grip, spend the extra money and get the other one!

Worth the buy. Will purchase again.

I have four german shepherds, & they all absolutely love this toy. They have the regular orange & blue form of this product as well. They are all tough chewers & so far this product is the only one that’s lasted longer than two weeks!

Fantastic toy, could be more durable.

My dog and I both love this ball. She gets super excited when it gets pulled out and will chase it around until complete exhaustion and I don't even have to take my hands out of my pockets! Almost anything else she loses interest in super quick. I have even been able to use it as a reward for training by pausing play and continuing when she complies with a command, a lifesaver since she isn't the most treat motivated. It's fairly durable and the glowing kind of works but I have to plan ahead. The only downsides to the ball are that it is totally possible for the dog to chew through it if left unsupervised with it. It certainly isn't as durable as other toys and will probably have to be replaced sooner even if your dog isn't a huge chewer and it's kind of pricey for that (not to mention wasteful). Also the glowing part. Obviously this ball gets very dirty. After playing outside with it, it is staying outside for sure. The glowing part of the ball is powered by light and not by battery, so if you want to play at night you will probably have to kick it under a outdoor lamp and leave it on for a while before you play and even then you will only charge part of it (which still works well enough for me). You could probably charge it up quickly with a powerful flashlight or something but, that's still an extra step. Not a deal breaker for me though. TL;DR: Great toy for playing with your dog, not a chew toy though and not particularly durable. Little pricey and required planning to actually use at night. Works well enough for me that I will probably always have a backup around though.

from excited to upset

Was so excited to get this for our 7 month old pup. He destroys anything with fabrics, loves to play with any type of ball, so I thought this was going to be a good balance. It seemed sturdy and good quality. At first he was terrified of it. Soon he was not scared anymore but about 3 hours of play time later he had separated the fabric from the plastic. And then a few hours later it was completely ripped apart and the foam bit was coming out. Long story short I think this toy would be great for anyone that doesn’t have a chewer! I am tempted to order this again because he loved it but at this price, and rate of destruction it’s just not worth it for us at the moment.

Tore within the first hour

My dog loved this ball right off the get. Unfortunately the plastic tore along one of the seams within the first hour. My dog is large and a bit rough but I would expect better from a ChuckIt product.

Tasty treat but not worth the money

My 18 lb schnauzer had this ball and the orange and blue one and both have ripped on the seams in less than 2 weeks.

Dog Approved

We bought two of these and haven't yet played with this one in the dark yet, since we left it at the grandpawrents house, but it is definitely dog approved. She is ball obsessed and this one is included.
