For a large breed dog, it's recommended to use the Large ball as it's 3 inches in diameter, which is 0.3 inches bigger than a tennis ball.

Best ball!

I have a super chewer German shepherd(90lbs). He loves to play ball but he has destroyed every tennis and toy ball we have gotten him within a few hours. I don't get him anything smaller than an XL size for fear of it getting lodged in his throat. Well, I came across this ball while looking through Chewy and saw it came in an XL and XXL and was ecstatic! I ordered the XXL and hoped it wouldn't be too big. The ball is a perfect size, doesn't squeak and is so durable. I'm glad to say the ball is still "alive" after several weeks and is one of my dogs favorite toys. I will definitely be ordering again.

Great for Chewers

My AmStaff is a serious chewer and so far she has been unable to mark this toy; not for a lack of trying. This version does not contain a squeaker. Compressing it is harder compared to a tennis ball. I think this will hold up pretty well.

Very durable play ball

My dog tears up everything! This ball is very durable and not the hard-as-a-rock ball you usually would have received. It is durable, yet soft. She has been unable to tear it to pieces. If it gets lost, I buy her another one of these. Highly recommend.

Perfect for strong chewer

We haven't found many toys our dog doesn't destroy within a day. This ball is perfect. He loves playing with it and chewing on it and it still looks brand new.

Ball Size Chart

In case you all have been wondering what the size is compared to the other balls, check out this photo, I ordered one of each. I couldnt find ANYONE who had an image of what it actually looks like size size in person. Hope the photo helps you all because these balls are GREAT. Very rugged and hard for my Sheepadoodles to chew up and destroy. Love them so much, I ordered more to have on backup.

My golden retriever

Layla loves her new large Chuckit ball. I originally ordered the medium but decided it was too small, and she could swallow it. I called to return it for the larger. Chewy gave me a credit but told me not to worry about returning it. They said to donate the toy to a local shelter or give it to a friend. I think that is the way a company should treat their customers!! Awesome customer service!
