When I received this I was already impressed at how well made it seemed. The rope that holds the salt lick is very solid. It is a good sized piece of mineral salt

When I received this I was already impressed at how well made it seemed. The rope that holds the salt lick is very solid. It is a good sized piece of mineral salt without any additives. I have a 10 year old draft cross that chews on everything so I was hopeful this would be something that could hang in his stall without it getting destroyed almost immediately. He also usually quickly eats through salt treats so I’m cautious about the ones I give him. He has been using it for two weeks now and it has not disappointed. The rope holding it is very sturdy and has held up well. He likes the mineral salt treat and it has not been something he managed to eat through within 30 minutes of hanging it up. It is perfect for him and I would not hesitate to recommend this for anyone looking for a mineral salt lick for their horse. I was so impressed I have ordered a second one for my senior pony.

Put the Circle 5 Feeds The Lasso Licker Mineral Salt Horse Treat, 5-lb out in the pasture with my retired horse. It was almost half gone a few days later. They loved it! It is big and heavy as expected being five pounds. The lasso is where I get confused. I’m not entirely sure how you are suppose to use it. Yes it needs something strong to hold all five pounds but I had to use bailing twine to hang it since the lasso is held together and I couldn’t get it apart.

I like to offer my horses a variety of salt options, especially during the hot seasons. I hung this mineral salt lick in my horse's stall using a double end snap. The rope is a little thick so it was a little hard to get the snap on it but it did work. Being able to hang it in the stall, out of the weather, is helpful in preserving the salt.

Honest review - the salt block is great. It looks like it’s more mineral based instead of Himalayan salt, so it’s a nice change up. I am a bit confused on how to hang it with the lasso rope instead of the other salt blocks that have a rope you can tie. I used an old rope from an old salt block and tied it to the lasso in order to hang this one up. That being said, I hung this on Saturday morning and when I checked on my mare around 12 pm, she had 2 of her water buckets empty! This is great, especially in south Florida summer!

I gave this to my salt-loving horse, and she loves it, but the circular rope that it's on wouldn't stay clipped to the built-in hay rack in her stall. I didn't want this on the floor, because I could see her stepping through the ring and spooking herself. While this is a great idea, before you buy it make sure you have a place to secure it. Nothing at all wrong with this product, but it does require some forethought.

The ponies liked the salt right away! It was a good solid natural piece. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the rope around it. Yes you can clip it to a hook

The ponies liked the salt right away! It was a good solid natural piece. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the rope around it. Yes you can clip it to a hook with a double ended snap but I ended up cutting it off and putting block in a pan. Ponies really were enjoying it that way.

Salt block that is a good option to add electrolytes to your horses’ diet, and gives them the option to go to it whenever they would like. My only qualm is there

Salt block that is a good option to add electrolytes to your horses’ diet, and gives them the option to go to it whenever they would like. My only qualm is there is no easy way to attach or hang the salt block since it’s on a rawhide rope. So I had to use hay twine to tie to a bar as shown in photos.
