Compounding is a way for licensed pharmacists to create a customized medication that meets your pets specific needs. Compounding pharmacists mix or change one or more FDA-approved medications to prepare a special medication for your pet. For example, if a medication is only available in pill form, the pharmacist might create it in liquid, gel, or capsule form.
Your pet may have a specific health need that cannot be addressed by an FDA-approved drug. For example:
Always talk with your veterinarian about any concerns you have about your pets health so they can prescribe a treatment for your pets unique needs.

Don't get these. They are huge and my cat did not eat them so I had to cut them in fours and give them to her myself. The picture does not show how big they are. Chewy would not let mw exchange them for smaller pills.
Our 5th vet, 5th vet in 4 years, got us a prescription for this for our Remus, our Russian Blue. He throws up almost every day and she didn't see anything in the bloodwork or the xrays. So we are trying this. Luckily, Remus likes the taste so we don't have to use Pill Pockets along with it. We'll give this a month and see how it works.
These chews are so much easier for my cat (and me!) compared to the liquid. I break one chew up into 3-4 smaller pieces, and my megacolon-diagnosed cat gobbles them up like a regular treat. The liquid was okay, but a daily fight, so I feel more confident that my cat is getting her full dose with absolutely no stress. Plus they work perfectly at preventing my cat's megacolon back-ups! The only thing I would change is that I wish they were pre-scored for easier splitting into smaller bites, but they're soft enough that it isn't a problem to do this by hand (sometimes I cut them with a small knife/kitchen scissors). So relieved to have found these!
Bought a small pack to see if my cat eats this. Turned out he just love it.
Way too big for my cat Supposed to be Tuna flavor but my cat wants nothing to do with it
I struggled to get cisapride down my cats throat, it became a daily battle of wills and was torturing my poor cat. It must be terrible stuff. Mixing it into a strong food worked for a few times, but then failed as well. These chews were a god send. I have to pinch it into about 10-15 small little bites and they are fairly chewy, but he has been taking them now for 4 months! I also get the capsule form for when he doesn't seem interested in eating these. So much less stress in our daily routine!
My kitty couldn't chew these for the life of her! It was also huge, so I cut the chew into quarters, but she still couldn't chew it enough to swallow.
These are to big and not soft enough for a cat. Will be going back to the ones from petmeds.
These are HUGE. there is literally no way any cat can fit this in their mouth. Even when I broke them in half they were too big. They are also very rubbery and hard to chew. My cat liked the flavor but tried to chew them and kept dropping it out of her mouth... I returned it and am attempting to try the liquid although all the reviews say it's very hard to use..
Like another review stated, these are too big but even when I cut it up into little pieces my cat will not eat it. I wish I could return these.
