This stuff really works. I use the whole tube over two days for a 60 pound 12 year old collie boy who has a super sensitive stomach. The vet initially prescribed metronizadole but I think this stuff is what helped him over the first few bad days. I will definitely be buying more to keep it on hand.

NOT CLAVAMOX BRAND

This product is sold as Clavamox. I specifically ordered through chewy and had a prescription mailed because my vet only had the chewable and liquid in the name

This product is sold as Clavamox. I specifically ordered through chewy and had a prescription mailed because my vet only had the chewable and liquid in the name brand. I asked him if I could find a tablet elsewhere if he would prescribe it. He said only if it’s name brand because there is a big difference between name brand and the generic. I can say it has the same amount of active ingredients (unlike other generic Clavamox) so I’m still using it. However if I had known before hand that this was generic, I wouldn’t have ordered it, let alone waited for it to be snail mailed and filled then shipped back(both of my vets won’t fax or Chewy due to privacy issues. Apparently Chewy wants access to the hospital’s private information to fill unless it is a paper script or something like that) The ratio of amoxicillin to clavulanate potassium is different in some of the generic Clavamox. I have a bottle of the generic liquid where this was an issue. It has less Clavulanate per 50mg of Amoxicillin than Clavamox has. This Clavacillin seems to be the same as Clavamox thankfully. I don’t know if there are other differences because I am not a chemist or pharmacist and I haven’t been back to the vet for recheck yet to ask the difference. I will say that it would have been nice to know that this is not name brand. I chose to wait to get this prescription thinking it was name brand when I could’ve just filled this anywhere but considering I was specifically looking for Clavamox tablets in 62.5, this was the only place that had them so I waited to start him on medication to specifically get a name brand tablet that I didn’t get. His issue is a possible inner ear infection/chronic ear infections that are not responding to topical medication nor allergy medication . The dermatologist specifically wanted name brand Clavamox.

Smaller pills, easier to give

I know there's a chewable fancy version, but it breaks apart a lot. This one is a lot easier to hide in pill pockets and cheaper

Fulfillment issues

I cannot even put into words how disappointed I am with chewy. I have had good experiences with Chewy in the past both with the pharmacy and the OTC products. But

I cannot even put into words how disappointed I am with chewy. I have had good experiences with Chewy in the past both with the pharmacy and the OTC products. But this time you failed on both accounts. First my prescription medications never arrived and you guys are working on trying to get me replacements. That was crazy because you kept calling the vet hospital they kept calling you back but for some reason you never got their multiple verbal okays even though they called a few times. That finally got squared away late yesterday. Now the replacement prescriptions for some reason they keep being "touched" as every supervisor told me but it never got shipped out. It's hopefully going to be shipped out next week. Everyone I've talked to has been very nice and apologized about the missing medications, but that doesn't make it any better that I have to keep calling the vet hospital to get everything squared away or call chewy back to get everything squared away and still I'm waiting on the medications. Then I got my package with the OTC products the greenie pill pockets, the bird seed and the dog treats. I got the package yesterday but I didn't get a chance to open it till today after talking with two dozen people at Chewy in the last two days over the prescription medications. Now I had to call you back again today and wait on hold because one of the greenie pill pockets packages was missing. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and set up a replacement shipment but it's just the fact that I've had to call you guys again because of missing items I have to wonder has your customer fulfillment of orders changed.... Very very disappointed.
