Nice elevated bed
By 56jojo on Jun 16, 2022
For several years have used elevated beds from another website and they were ripping and becoming non-usable so I went in search of a replacement and discovered this Coolaroo on Chewy. It was a great price-so much better than what I paid for my first beds and instead of mainly plastic legs, this was all metal which is better as my puppy liked to gnaw on the plastic. It wasn't that hard to put together-I'm an old woman and I did it by myself in less than 20 minutes. I would have preferred a different color (I got the green) to match my family room but went for the lowest priced one. I originally got the large and went back and got a medium as well. Both my dogs love these new beds and hopefully For several years have used elevated beds from another website and they were ripping and becoming non-usable so I went in search of a replacement and discovered this Coolaroo on Chewy. thumbs up!
By daboys on Jun 25, 2022
I am surprised both of my golden retrievers like this bed as one is typically a scaredy cat if something moves. They like to lay out by the pool with us but the ground gets way too hot, so these are a perfect solution. They are the cutest pool boys! The grey color is very nice. My dogs are 70lbs and 80lbs and the large works but does look a little small lengthwise when they lay down straight but they don’t seem to mind. The last leg is hard to assemble but it just takes some finesse and strength while keeping all the other screws loose before tightening them. Very happy with my purchase!

nbd, dog still getting used to it
By Azula on Jun 16, 2022
first, to everyone who is worried it’s impossible to assemble: it’s not. i did it by myself and i’m a young woman, maybe a bit more athletic than average. but it doesn’t take strength. what you wanna do is screw in the two legs on one end every shallow, so they’re still wobbling and the screw is sticking out. and then go to the other side, screw in the third loose too. and then the fourth is the side on the same end as the third screw. if everything else is loose then you can hold the first end down with your foot and put it together. took me one try! second, had it put together for a few hours. my dog is okay w it. she wants to like it but she’s used to softer beds so she won’t lay on it longer first, to everyone who is worried it’s impossible to assemble: it’s not. i did it by myself and i’m a young woman, maybe a bit more athletic than average. but it doesn’t take strength. what you wanna do is screw in the two legs on one end every shallow, so they’re still wobbling and the screw is sticking out. and then go to the other side, screw in the third loose too. and then the fourth is the side on the same end as the third screw. if everything else is loose then you can hold the first end down with your foot and put it together. took me one try! second, had it put together for a few hours. my dog is okay w it. she wants to like it but she’s used to softer beds so she won’t lay on it longer than 10 minutes. but when she gets hot, she’s now 50/50 going for this vs the floor. i bet she will get used to it with time, just like how the cat avoids the cat tower for a week before it’s home base. third, glad it’s off the floor, i don’t have a/c so it’s nice for the baby. it seems durable. she’s dug at it a few times and there is no tears or rips or even hints of being easily impacted. looks easy to clean and it doesn’t look like she can chew it up like she slowly does with soft beds! i sat on mine, size large, i weight 120lbs, i didn’t sink to the bottom. don’t recommend it tho! haha … more

Difficult to assemble
By Pete on Jun 13, 2022
First the positive. My little Italian Greyhound loves this bed! It is on our back porch with a small blanket thrown over it and she has moved in. It is her favorite spot, just the right amount of sag for her little body. Now the negative. This bed comes unassembled and it is VERY difficult to assemble. The legs are two piece with cross bars, one at each end. It is extremely difficult to get the holes to line up because of the tautness of the cover. I am a big guy and I struggled for quite awhile! The cover on mine ended up up side down and I was not about to take it apart when I finally got it all line up. It works well enough upside down. Drilling out the holes would probably help First the positive. My little Italian Greyhound loves this bed! It is on our back porch with a small blanket thrown over it and she has moved in. Anything for the dogs
By Jenn on Jun 14, 2022
We have six Llewellin Setters (crazy!) and they’re all spoiled. Some like to be elevated when lounging and these Coolaroos do just that and they’ve all used them. We got three in the large size. Two dogs will curl up on one. Sometimes the cat hogs one to herself. It’s been super hot here (Kansas) and these fit the bill. When not in use, we stack them up. They’re super light. Takes a little muscle to assemble them - which is good and necessary for the fabric to be nice and tight. The fabric is some kind of plastic so keep away from campfires or whatever.

Great outside bed
By Kriss on Jun 24, 2022
This is our second Coolaroo elevated bed although the first one we bought was a large. We have a small big dog and the large was super big for our dog and took up too much space on our patio so we opted for a medium this time around. Unfortunately it's a tiny bit too small for him, but I'm going to add some padding to the frame and he'll be more comfy.

awesome bed
By Jillea on Jun 1, 2022
Purchased two of these beds to replace ones that I have had for over 12 years. Originally purchased just the replacement covers but found that I couldn't get the frames apart so purchased the entire beds instead. Great value at a great price. Both my dogs love these beds! I have them outside on the porch and my dogs hang out there during the day. They are cool for them as they are off the ground and the air can flow around them. If you are debating --- debate no more and purchase it!! You won't regret it.

My Golden likes it so far
By GoldengirlDoodle21 on May 16, 2022
I’ve got to be honest I was really concerned about assembly after reading reviews & when the box arrived slightly damaged I just knew I’d be returning it. I highly recommend watching the video above on how to assemble. It was super easy I followed along with the video & was able to assemble it by myself within 20 minutes. And the best part is my 5 mo old goldendoodle took right to it. We have a lounge chair that is made somewhat like this same material & she loves the chair but she couldn’t stretch out in it so she had to have one of her own. I love that this keeps her up off the ground where I can put it in the yard when she wants to lounge out there. Even if it makes it thru the summer will be worth the $$ … more

It sank in the middle
By Lorraine on Jun 4, 2022
I didn’t like putting it together one of the screws was not actually fitting it’s hanging over. The middle part is not supported, when my dog gets on it the middle sinks. I have a blu heeler & a long hair terrier who’s medium not over 25 lbs. I’m not happy with this product. I’m keeping it and going to look to purchase one that don’t sink in the middle. Only reason I’m keeping it because I don’t want my dogs on the ground which is important to me.

Had to get help to put together
By NiftyNana on May 24, 2022
I previously bought Frisco beds and put them together without any trouble. The Frisco beds and replacement pads were out of stock and I couldn't wait any longer, so I ordered a Coolaroo. I could NOT get this thing to go together. Everything was so tight, I had to get a man to do it and even HE had trouble getting it together; he broke a sweat. Once it was together it's fine and my dog jumped right up on it...she's been sleeping on the floor till I could get another bed. Next time, I guess I will wait or the Frisco beds to come back in stock.
