This is a window entry design. It has a clear, hard plastic cat door that opens into a roomy, insulated box. From the box, the cat enters into the rest of the enclosure through a slotted soft plastic curtain. The two doors keeps drafts and bugs out. I liked that a lot. The box spacious, patio-like ledge your cat can lounge on before jumping down into the rest of the enclosure. Nice feature. The roof is double paned clear hard plastic that allows light in while providing rain protection and a degree of insulation. Included is a zippered, clear plastic covering for the entire structure in case of severe weather. Quality is good, well worth the price. The wood is not splitty or splintery and looks durable. It’s pine, so it’s fairly lightweight but when assembled, it is plenty sturdy. I mounted mine on a wooden platform and screwed it down. It’s not going anywhere. I had a professional handyman help assembly and to build raised the platform we added. It wasn’t hard, but you should use an electric drill with a screw driver bit. I can’t imagine using only a screwdriver. I painted my catio to match our trim. My only criticism is I wish the entries were bigger. I have one medium cat who can easily fit in, but I hope my big boy can squeeze in the doors.
