Crave seems to have gone downhill recently. It previously was a premium product. A company that stops sending resealable bags on their biggest size bag to undoubtedly save money? Makes me wonder what other corners they're cutting, because this product isn't the same. My cat has loved it for years..shame.
I have a cat with diabetes and a cat that does not. Due to having to have a "free-feeding" dish for the cat that has diabetes I was paying a fortune for the RX food. I talked to my vet and we increased the insulin dosage and then made sure I found a food that would be OK for him. This has been a huge money saver for me. I have slowly been introducing into their diet and they like it. Their BM's are solid and their water intake has been less. This seems to be a great substitution for the $80 food I was purchasing. I will continue as long as it stays this way.
This seems to be the favorite of the dry foods for my cats. I don't always buy it because it's pricier, but I've noticed that when I do, and I mix it with other food, both of my cats will pick out these pieces to eat leaving behind the other cat food. Haha.
I absolutely love crave food for the fact that most bags are resealable. In the picture the 10 pound back is a resealable bag. I did not receive a resealed one. I know the 4 pound bags are resealable. You may or may not receive a resealable bag if you order the 10 pounds.
My cat has been having trouble keeping this food down the past 3 days. I thought maybe he was eating stuff off the ground but I noticed that he’s been getting sick ever since I opened this bag, which was 3 days ago. This is strange since Ive never had this problem before with this food. I’ve seen a couple people review before that they’ve had their cat get sick too. This sucks because now I have to throw away this new 10lb bag. :(
So at first my cats liked it. I have 2 fur babies. One loved it while the other was okay with it. A heads up the nibble is a bit bigger than other brands. I searched for an affordable decent nutritious cat food brand and this was one of them. I needed to refill so I repurchased but the smell and texture of it wasn't the same, my cats noticed right away. They are now picky with it and I struggle to get them to eat it. Now they don't finish it, and one of my cats vomits it at times. So I am now searching for another. Not every cat is as picky as mine, and digestive systems aren't the same either, so I'd say you can still give it a try.
We have been feeding our cat this food for the last two years rotating between this variety and the salmon/chicken option. This last batch she has been averse to and it has been making her vomit. I did some research and found three other reviews with this experience. What gives crave?
Mitzi's regular dry food is TIki Cat Essentials Trout flavor, but last week it was out of stock on both Chewy and other places. Was looking for something with similar price and ingredients/nutrition/calories and decided on this, partly because it was available in a smaller size. Mixed it in with the remaining Tiki Cat and she seems to like it as much or more.
Buying this from chewy is soooooo much cheaper than the one store in the area that sells this brand....but again... shipping was super slow.
This American journey is making our babies sick so we r going to try them on a new food the Crave cat food and will let u know how it goes
