Gooey Mess the birds did NOT like
I just discovered a few weeks ago that Chewy sold wild bird food! I mean, why not? I usually buy from my local wild bird food store, but I found the suet on sale so I thought I'd try it. I bought three different types including this one that a reviewer had remarked was gooey and unappetizing to her birds. I agree. I had to scoop the gloppy mess out of the container with a spoon because the cake wouldn't stick together to slide into the feeder. Yuck. Gila woodpeckers will eat ANYTHING...but after three days, they had barely touched this. Other suet from this brand seems fine, but stick to the 'no-melt.'
I purchased this suet by mistake. I thought it was the no melt variety I usually buy. This suet is a sticky mess. It’s hard to get out of its plastic holder, leaving suet on your hands and messing up the feeder. I highly recommend the no melt variety instead.
My wild birds with be so thankful
These suet cakes are the easiest way to feed my feathered friends. I have lots of wild birds that come into my yard looking for food. I will be waiting a bit to put out only because I also have black bear searching out snack. With this years drought I know the birds will be so happy to see these in my feeders. Your Bluejays will love this stuff!
C&S Suet in this peanut flavor is a favorite for my backyard bluejays! they absolutely love it and scream at me when it is all gone. The squirrels get a bit crazy over it too and love to test their luck jumping from the tree to the feeder. Our birds seem to prefer certain suet over other suet and this one is a favorite! *I received cash back for this purchase*
Peanut Overload (in a good way!)
I absolutely loves these suet packs!!! I get every bird under the sun to my yard now. Blue Jays, woodpeckers and even cardinals! It’s so fun to watch them enjoying this snack. I’ve even had my neighbors come over to see what the heck I was feeding them, as they wanted to know how they could get birds like I have in their backyard. I will be repurchasing. I received CashBack on my purchase and participated in a cashBack program.
Nutty & Greasy
The squirrels went crazy for this one, I wouldn’t recommend using it near the bird feeders if you’re wanting to keep feed in them. Great quality and an affordable/easy way to enjoy bird watching. I gave it 4 stars because it seemed very greasy compared to other flavors I’ve used. I received CashBack as part of a CashBack campaign in exchange for my honest opinion.
Who doesn’t love peanut butter!?
The birds love the peanut butter too!! The feeder is popping when we put this feed in. We get a wide variety of birds...and squirrels too. Make sure your feeders are stable!
Ok this smells good! It reminds me of peanut butter. Beef suet loaded with roasted peanuts that gives the birds energy. A tasty delight for the woodpeckers, wrens, etc. Easy to use, just pop in a wire suet feeder. Love that is made in the USA.
birds love it
I have always had the birds flock to the C & S suet blocks. They don't care for the dough type blocks , but all the suet & seed ones are great. This peanut one is especially a favorite with my woodpeckers and chicadees. But many other birds feed from them also. I just put them up for the first time this year, in a new house, and the birds showed up right away and enjoy them all day long.
