My go to source for a quick shipment of pet food and wild bird seed. I have several different types of woodpeckers from very large to very small, and they all enjoy the suet. My birds and I are on a first name basis. They’re so used to me. They don’t even budge from the feeder when I’m trying to refill it. Believe me, they let me know when it’s time to order more!!!
I get so many woodpeckers, piliateds and Donnie’s etc. they love this suet, I tried something else one time and it was a no go!
The birds that visit my suet feeder love this, as well as the squirrels !
Even the bluebirds like this - and it's hard to attract bluebirds. We also put a squirrel baffle under the suet feeder when we tried it, so we can really gauge its popularity. The birds love it!
When the birds are bold enough to be inches away from me and can't wait for me to hang the suet basket, you know you've bought the right stuff. So if the birds are happy, I'm happy too.
This suet blend is excellent. I have many Downy and Redbellied Woodpeckers visiting and occaisionally have a Redheaded show up but they are more skittish. Most excited is I had a one time visit from a Pileated Woodpecker but he was really shy. Nuthatches and Titmice love this also.
All the birds Love these
This cake is so greasy(lard) that it was hard to handle to put in holder for suet cakes. The blackbirds won't even eat it. One cake has been hanging on my tree for a week.
I tried several suet blocks but this one is the best . I cut the blocks into smaller pieces to put in my three hole suet feeder these blocks work the best .
All of the birds I feed like this suet cake. When the cake gets small and I replace the feeder, I put the rest on the ground and they will peck on it there too.
