This is a pretty sharp and aggressive de-shedder - probably most like a metal curry comb. It’s pretty stiff on my hand but the strap is adjustable. It might have more precision to it if I broke it in a lot but it does not flex with my hand. It’s more aggressive than I need for my dogs and even trying to get loose hair off my NDG goats this spring. I’m not sure it even felt good on the ones that liked to be brushed because it doesn’t have deep teeth. It doesn’t suit my needs, but maybe it will work for you.
Love this brush..might be meant for horses but works so great on the pups.
First of all, this curry is very, very stiff plastic...as in no flex whatsoever. The top loop, that your hand slides in, does not come connected. You have to force a triangle shaped piece into a narrow slot, which might not be so bad, except that this plastic is incredible stiff. I do not have a weak grip, but I am unable to force these pieces together. Even if I managed to force it into the first slot, the loop would be so large that it would not help keep it on my hand. Basically, I would be holding onto the curry without the aid of a loop across the back of my hand. The blade feels too sharp for me to want to use on any of my horses. This is definitely not what I had imagined it to be. Going back to my old shedding blades and curries.
Love this shedding tool. It works great. Bought 4 last year (which I shared at the barn with boarders) and just order two more.
Tossed this brush into my dog/cat food auto shipment. I’m so glad I did! My mare enjoyed her whole grooming session and I loved how much hair it removed!!
