there is a cool trick to these
These have been great for my papillon chihuahua mix! I have a trick: my rescue pup does not allow me to brush her teeth, so the Vet said to just let her eat a small amount of the toothpaste. So I decided to do one better and squirt the toothpaste in the inside of these dental treats and give her one per day. The treat is so chewy that the toothpaste gets all over her teeth during chewing! I have noticed that her teeth have gone from brown up by the gum line and dark yellow to an off-white since I’ve gotten her.
Not old dogs favorite
, My senior dog, he is 16, does not seem thriled with these, he takes them and usually bites them into pieces and will eat the pieces a little at a time. I am not sure if it is because they are hard or the texture or what.
Dental Chews That Work!!!
I took my 4 year old Morkie to her vet appointment a year ago. She had some tartar on a couple of back teeth and the vet suggested a tooth cleaning appointment. I had heard about these chews and, since they are approved by the vetinary dental association, decided to try. 6 months later her vet was impressed at her teeth. No dental appointment was needed at that time. She was checked again this summer, and again no need for cleaning. My dog gets 1 every morning.
My jack russell terriers do not like this
I am not sure why but they would chew on it but do not eat it. They would leave pieces on the floor. But they ate all other dental treats we have. I plan to give the rest to my sister in law. She has a maltipoo and hopefully this works for her dog.
DentaLife treats
My little dog really likes these. She's an old lady now and whatever makes her happy, gives her a little pleasure, I approve of. The years go by quickly for our dogs, we should cherish every moment we have with them.
Not for little mouths
These probably work fine for larger mouths. In other brands the mini size has always been fine for my 7.5 lb chihuahua/Maltese mix, but even trying to break these in half, the diameter was still too big for her mouth.
top choice
My yorkie loves these. They keep her busy for about five to ten minutes and I do think that they help her teeth. I will continue to buy these.

My two dogs, King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and Shorkie both love these!
Good variety
Good variety to add to the list for our two spoiled Maltese. They bore easily with dental chews , treats and food. This brand was a hit with them.
