For adult dogs over 100 pounds, add approximately ⅓ cup for every 10 additional pounds. This feeding guide provides a starting point for the amount of food to give your dog each day, and can vary based on factors such as activity level. Work with your veterinarian to determine an appropriate weight and adjust feeding amounts as necessary.

Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.
