Remember to keep plenty of fresh water available to your pet at all times.
When transitioning your pet to a new food, we recommend a gradual introduction of the new formula over a 7 day period. For pets with sensitivities, extend the transition period to 10 to 14 days. Start by adding a small amount of your pet’s new food to his or her current food. Gradually, increase the new food amount and decrease the current food amount at each feeding until you are feeding only the new food.

We've been feeding this brand to our mini schnauzer since he was a baby but recently noticed loose stools, gas, and vomiting almost daily. We realized it started shortly after we switched to this adult formula. It has just gotten worse and worse with each week. Mini schnauzers can be sensitive so I'm sure other dogs probably do fine on it, but we have to switch to something else. Also, it's very high in fat so if pancreatitis is a concern, this is not a good choice. Unfortunately I had it on autoship so we have an entire bag we will have to donate.
Hello, We recently ordered a 6-lb bag of this Diamond Naturals Small Breed Adult Chicken & Rice Formula Dry Dog Food to try with our Maltipoo hoping she would have a greater interest in eating her food. Evidently this formula has been a success with other Maltipoo owners so we wanted to give it an honest try. Unfortunately, every time we tried to slowly introduce this food into her current food blend she would throw up. So at this point we decided to call it quits with this formula. There's an ingredient(s) that doesn't agree with her. For now we're going to stay with her current food blend (mixing Blue Buffalo, Orijen and Purina Pro) since this blend has proven to work best for us and our Maltipoo, with Orijen and Purina Pro being her favorites. We're going to give this bag of Diamond Naturals to the shelter closest to us hoping it can be enjoyed there. I may ask for a refund from Chewy since they're really good to work with.
I tried to get a small breed food that my senior dog could actually eat. This one had great reviews and has the smallest pieces of any small breed food I've found. She could eat it fine, and she had no issues with it. However, 2 of my other dogs threw up multiple times before I figured out it was the food causing it. Not sure if it swells more in the stomach than other brands, but I couldn't have huge piles of partially digested dog food lying around the house. We'll have to keep looking.
i have been feeding my terrier, spooky, this food since we adopted him almost two years now. he always eats it all and looks for more, the size is perfect for a small dog. and my vet tells me the pellet type food is good for his teeth. it is easy to chew and easy to swallow.
I've fed this to many breeds of dogs with great success. My dogs would dig through other food when mixed and eat the Diamond first. No more mixing in more expensive foods for my babies.
My Toy Poodle eats this and seems to enjoy it, in fact she loves it. the kibble is small and easy for her to chew, I am so happy as she is picky. unless its something I am eating, then she is all over it. I am so glad she likes Diamond naturals.
My dog loves the size and I assume he likes the taste. No issues here. I just wish it came in a 20 pound sack.
My pups seem to like it.. It is very much similar to the one they were eating before in size and shape. So far no problems with it and they have been eating it for a couple of weeks now..
This is all Lucas has eaten for dog food since he was a baby. He's now 9 yrs old and very healthy.
My Teddy Roosevelt Terrier loves this food. She is high energy and this keeps her health and happy.
