Are all ingredients made in the USA?

Diamond Naturals uses the highest quality ingredients and manufactured in America in state-of-the-art facilities. This formula uses some ingredients that are not USA sourced, like flaxseed and barley, both which originate in Canada and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients such as folic acid and taurine that can only be sourced out of China.

It's a good mid-tier food and a great value.

It carries a rating of 5 on Dog Food Advisor. Doesn't have corn. Chicken and Chicken Meal are the first two ingredients. It's not quite on par with Orijen or Acana,

It carries a rating of 5 on Dog Food Advisor. Doesn't have corn. Chicken and Chicken Meal are the first two ingredients. It's not quite on par with Orijen or Acana, but a good second-tier food, IMO. 4 stars from me is very good. 5 would mean you are one of the best and really can't get any better. And it is not over-priced, a fact not overlooked. I consider this to be a great value dog food.

Good food, but really high calorie count.

After several tries and misses, I found diamond naturals for my adopted border collie. She gained weight pretty rapidly. I take full responsibility for the amount

After several tries and misses, I found diamond naturals for my adopted border collie. She gained weight pretty rapidly. I take full responsibility for the amount of food I was feeding her because I've always had larger dogs, but when I looked at the calorie content of this food, it's whopping 420 cal per cup. That's pretty high. Doing some research, the adult dog food has less, but the senior is even better. It has 347 cal per cup. Quite the difference. I picked up a small bag of the senior Diamond naturals and have been mixing that with her regular food. She's tolerating it well, so I will be donating my full bag of all life stages and ordering the senior. My girl has lots of orthopedic issues, so weight is really important. Once she got her teeth fixed, she really wanted to eat. She came from a pretty sad hoarding situation, and I had no medical care for almost 10 years. We have cut portions down, and are almost at full serving of the senior food twice a day. Minimal treats and lots of green beans and carrots for snacks. She's lost a couple of pounds so far, which is good. I just never thought to check calorie count on a food.

Would not eat it

Neither dog would eat it. They were both on a different variation of this brand that they did fine on but we decided instead of trying to keep them out of each other's

They were both on a different variation of this brand that they did fine on but we decided instead of trying to keep them out of each other's food we would just switch to this since it was the same brand but they will not touch it. They will go days without eating before they will even sniff it. Something is seriously wrong with this food. I guess the chickens will be getting some really expensive food

The dog food was fresh, some companies will sell you older food for cheaper, not the case here. There was no punctures in the bag. I had a lot of issues with punctures
