Ehhhh Not For Me
After reading the ingredients and description I thought id give this food a try as a “cheaper” but still “healthier” alternative to what I had been buying for my 4 husky and German Shepard’s but unfortunately after a few months of buying it I have to switch back. All of my dogs have started extreme shedding to the point that it’s concerning. I guess that’s what I get for trying to fix a dog food that wasn’t broken. Maybe it will work for you but I won’t be buying from this company any more.
All three dogs love this
I mix several brands a flavors to give my three rescue dogs variety. I rarely do any chicken because of by products and possible allergies. Two of the regular brands are out of stock so I purchased this dog food. When I opened the bag all three dogs ran in and wanted a sample. They liked it so much I had to give them separate bowls so I could incorporate the bag in with the other food containers
Be aware!!
I switched my Shepard to this food, and convinced 2 friends to do same (1 with Labrador and 1 with Cairn Terrier). The dogs ate it some seemed to like it better than others but all 3 gained a TON of weight in a relatively short time, 2 became less active and didn't seem themselves. 1 didn't change activity level at all and still gained. After the 3 owners talked we were able to narrow it down to the food that all started within days of eachother. This relatively rapid gain is bad for their health, bad for larger dogs hips (my young active, high energy Shepard struggles to jump on couch and needs help to jump into car....which a few months ago was not an issue. I'm concerned she'll need help with her hips or other areas. I am switching her food immediately despite me having 2 bags (80 lbs total) and almost 100$ 's wasted...please, if you try this food monitor your dog very very closely for ANY wgt gain and get them off it immediately if they start to gain....its sneaky and happens fast.
great product
We’ve bounced around from FirstMate to Nutro and now to Diamond. Although first mate and nutro are amazing products by far the best between the 2, they were so rich in nutrients my dogs were constantly having running stools. When we switched to Diamond brand they’re formula and minimal ingredients food was perfect for us while also cost effective. My 1 dog loves it and gobbles her food up while my boy takes his time not his favorite, however both have completely turned their stool from runny to smaller harder stools. Which I know they are getting the nutrients absorbed into their body. We love it. Will be a constant buyer
Both dogs sick stay away
I have 2 boxers. I bought a bag of this.They liked it but....within 20 min they both would be getting sick!! I thought I introduced it too fast, so I slowed it down, still BOTH sick! Once I stopped feeding them, this there has been no more getting sick. I don't know what made them sick but the fact they got Both got sick EVERY time they ate makes one wonder what is in it.
Too Heavy
The Breeder said that Diamond Naturals All Stages Chicken and rice was they use with the puppies. He eats it and is fine. My complaint is that it comes in a 40 lb bag. Will be switching to what vet recommends as soon as this bag is finished if I haven’t put my back out from lifting.
Dog food
This is the 4th time that the bag I received had either been broken open or had a hole in it large enough to tare the bag open when I received it. I'm so very upset and think it's time to buy locally.

Raise Cardigan Welsh Corgis for 25 years . Appreciate Diamond Naturals for not having fillers like wheat , soy , & corn . My dogs enjoy the taste & benefit from well made food . I enjoy the quality at a fair price . The whole Diamond Natural lineup of Beef , Chicken , Lamb , & Salmon are great !
Wouldn’t Recommend
My dogs became sick after eating this food. I tried to switch them slowly and even the slow process made them sick, when i got them completely over to this food my dogs would rather starve than eat it. even with toppings and extras, they’d go outside, eat grass and throw up. switch foods and they eat it up, don’t recommend

Our Dane has such a sensitive stomach and this food sat so well with her. She loves it. Looking forward to switching flavors for her so she doesn’t get tired of the dog food. I wanted something with great ingredients and economical and this was it
