For pregnant or nursing adult dogs, we recommend free-choice feeding. Remember to keep plenty of fresh water available to your pet at all times.

Transition Instructions

Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.

  • For sensitive dogs, extend the period to 10 to 14 days.

  • Diamond Naturals Skin and Coat :)

My dogs seem to be more satisfied eating this food. Previously eating a no soy, wheat or corn dog food which seems to be full of rice they would get hungry every 4 hours and my old dog would demand to eat a lunch. Now he's satisfied eating twice a day and there is no upset stomach, no flatulence or loose stool. I have 7 dogs eating this, from age 4 yr to 13 yr. I consider this a good value.

Dogs used to eat Premium Edge (diamond) skin and coat. This seems to be the same stuff rebranded. the kibble is on the smaller side. It is more expensive. Note this is a 30lb bag that costs the same as the 40lb bag of Diamond Naturals Chickend and rice. Has more protein and fat than the chicken and rice so that is good.

  • They Love It

All my boys love their food, but I can hardly have them sit and wait for the "go-ahead" before they start digging in. The ingredients make me feel like they're getting what they need and their daily excitement reinforces that the right choice was made.

  • Best Dog Food and Great Value

    By on

Finally a dog food that 2 out of 4 of my girls love! I have a beagle and a collie mix that both have skin issues. I have been feeding them 4Health from a local pet supply store (which was constantly out of it) but since switching to Diamond they have improved even more. I'm a Diamond customer for life now because the quality of the food is outstanding and the value is even better.

I have two dogs with very sensitive stomachs and have been on Royal Canin gastrointestinal food. On a whim I decided to try this and they are doing amazing with it. Highly recommended

  • Zeva would recommend

    By on

My dog has had an itching problem and my vet said it was food related as she doesn't have any other symptoms. I had her on Nulo Salmon and she was doing well with it but it is over the top expensive. Zeva is a Belgian Malanois and was raised on Diamond food so when I saw Diamond came out with the same ingredient food, I switched her back to Diamond. Not because it is cheaper just because it really works better than the Nulo. I am also watching the treats that she gets to be sure there is no Corn, Wheat or Soy in it. She is doing great.

My 2 year old black lab has had skin issues since day one. She constantly scratched and had bad dandruff. Since shes been eating this her coat is shinier and softer. I paired this with alaskan salmon oil twice a week. She loves it.
