When transitioning your pet to a new food, we recommend a gradual introduction of the new formula over a 7 day period. For pets with sensitivities, extend the transition period to 10 to 14 days. Start by adding a small amount of your pet’s new food to his or her current food. Gradually, increase the new food amount and decrease the current food amount at each feeding until you are feeding only the new food.

I noticed my dogs weren't thrilled with their kibble and had been having nasty side effects, which I blamed on a different source while completely overlooking that we had started this new bag (had been getting them the chicken variety prior to this). I had 2 GSDs on it, one started balding, the other vomiting and bloody diarrhea. Upon reading other 1 star reviews it dawned on me I was blaming the wrong source. I am immediately stopping all kibble (reading 1 star reviews on other brands read like they do on this one) and taking the money saved and putting them on raw full time. (We get the meat from a local farmer, so we know that source at least.) Just be cautious if you try this kibble.
Been feeding our large breed dogs Diamond brand for many years. Dogs always thrived and stayed healthy. Not sure what has changed but we can no longer feed this brand. We would rather pay a little more for a dog food that doesn’t make our dogs sick. After reading other reviews we have now concluded that this food is the reason our dogs have loose gassy stools and sometimes diarrhea. So glad I read about others having the same issues with this food. Our Mastiff has also has excessive hair loss this year. Hope Diamond figures out the problem. Do better Diamond!
I had to call Chewy with several issues this morning. I spoke with Angela, who solved about five problems for me. She solved problems that I didn’t even know I had with a patient, friendly manner. She stuck with me on the phone for half an hour. Her computer had problems, but she kept trying and even went to her supervisor to get help to help me better. She is incredibly good at her job, in all ways. She’s efficient and she knows her job. She really went out of her way to take care of me. I appreciate her so much! Mrs. Lydena Wyatt And my two Great Danes
We started our Great Dane on this food approximately a year ago. She was doing really well with it. We were so happy we found a food that she liked. About July 2023, she started to have really bad gas and stomach problems. Not sure what was changed but we had to go to another food. Really disappointed that the company would do something that affects so many dogs. Wish Chewy would look into this.
We normally have good luck with Diamond brand dog food, but not this time. We have to put every cup of food in a strainer because it's full of powdered dog food. Looks like we got the bottom of the barrel with this bag and I won't be buying it again. The whole bag is full like this and it's going in the trash.
This food is making our dogs sick. Our dogs have been having diarrhea with blood and been vomiting. We’ve been buying this food for years and never had a problem. I’ve read other newer reviews and people are having the same issues with this food. Something has change for sure.
I have bought two types of dog food that's not chicken and then the food ends up having chicken in it. My dogs are allergic this hurts them badly..
Listen to the other reviews and please avoid this food right now. It is making several dogs sick. We started our Great Dane on this food about a year and a half ago, and it was the absolute best thing we've found that works for him. However, we bought a bag towards the end of May 2023, and it made him severely sick. He was vomiting during the day and woke us up at least 4 times during the middle of the night with diarrhea, every night for a week straight. We own other dogs so we let him have their food for a day or so, and he seemed to get better. We made the mistake of giving him this one again, not realizing it was the food and after 2 feedings he was just as sick again. Let me tell you, a sick Great Dane IS NOT FUN. With that said, Chewy is literally the best place to order pet supplies. They listened to our concern and helped us out literally within 15 minutes of messaging them.
Notice bad reaction in stomach and uti that hadn't seen in 3 yrs.Not happy with the change since been using for many years. Definitely know its changed ingredients and source
I’m not sure what they have changed but this used to be the best food for our Great Dane. The last bag we bought destroyed his stomach he has had horrible diarrhea and gas. I wish they wouldn’t have messed with the ingredients and if they didn’t this food needs to be recalled.
